I did the Schick deal at WAGS today. There were some packages that also included 4 free refills! Grab those if there are any left. Also, one thing that I noticed is that I still had to pay the tax on the original price! I guess this has never occured to me before this transaction. But, I paid $3.60 total for the razors with tax (which is a whopping 9% here in WA). I guess since I mostly do Q’s for groceries (which we don’t have tax for in WA), this maybe hasn’t happened to me before. Oh, good old Uncle Sam always has to get his share.
Keri, yes, you do have to pay sales tax on the pre-coupon price. If you read the fine print of many coupons it says “purchaser pays sales tax.” So if the item is $5.00 and you have a $3.00 off coupon, you’ll pay tax on the $5.00 and not the $2.00. Here in the State of WA, sales tax is an ugly 9.0%, so you’d pay $.45 in tax. This holds true even if the item is “free.”
Has anyone else had trouble getting the coupons on Right@Home to print? It says their site is having technical difficulties.
Jenny, I’ve had trouble with the Right @ Home site, too. It says I’ve printed my limit on items I haven’t printed Qs for at all yet! Good to know it may be their site.
Hi everyone! I apologize there are difficulties in printing the coupons I posted! I want to let you know I have contacted SC Johnson myself and am awaiting a response. I will be sure to update my post as necessary just as soon as I’ve heard back. Thanks for your patience.
Well the folks at SC Johnson are sure taking their time. I tried calling yesterday but the automated message said they were too busy, call again later. I FINALLY got a response that they’ve re-routed my email to the correct department. I want to let you know I’ve not forgotten this and will continue to pursue it.
Next time, I’ll make sure coupons I post ACTUALLY print. I guess I’ll chalk this one up to a lesson learned by a newbie blogger!
