Last week, I shared some tips on how to use Register Rewards at Walgreens.

Today I wanted to share with you how I goofed up a transaction and how I was able to get it resolved.  Maybe it will help someone out there.

So I went to do the Band-Aid/Neosporin deal where you spend $10 in product and get $4 back.  I selected two different $3 Band-Aid varieties and the $4 Neosporin and headed to checkout.  And can you guess what happened?  No Register Reward!  It was getting late and I had had one BAD day and felt I was not in the right frame of mind to try and work it out with the cashier.  So I just left.

The next day, I called the Catalina company.  Did you know you can do this?  It's easy.  You dial 1-888-8COUPON and select option 3.  They will ask a series of questions, so have your receipt handy.  The rep that took my call was friendly and was able to determine that one of the Band-Aids I purchased was not part of the promotion, and he gave me the UPC for that item.

I then took my receipt and items back to Walgreens and explained what happened.  It was simple to fix.  I had to return the items, and then I purchased the correct ones.  They had to completely re-do the transaction to get my Register Reward, but this didn't take much time at all and I was on my way!

All this to say, don't dispair if your Register Reward didn't print.  It can be fixed.  Please leave a comment if you have additional questions, comments, or advice on what to do if your Register Rewards don't print, or if you simply goof a deal up like I did!
