Thank you so much for your wonderful tips about Register Rewards at Walgreen's. Using them properly, as you suggest, can save you a lot of money. I'm a cashier at Walgreen's and I would like to add one suggestion for those people who are doing multiple transactions. Please, please use the registers at either the cosmetics or photo departments. They can take the additional time needed to process your transactions whereas the front register cashiers have to move the customers quickly. We all appreciate your compliance with this. Now, if only we could get ALL couponers to read this, it would save a lot of time and headaches. Thank you!!

I would very much like to point out that some Walgreens stores that have high daily volume may not allow multiple transactions. It's a simple case of being fair to those customers who are waiting in line behind the couponer. I have been at one of our local Walgreens stores more than once when all checkout lanes are open but there is a "log jam" because there are so many couponers trying to claim bragging rights for having gotten the most items for the least amount of money. Very frustrating for those in the back of the line who only came in to buy a pack of gum, etc. Case in point: A couponer who had whittled a $30 order down to $2.47 and then questioned why two sets of Scrunccis didn't come up as 'Buy 1, Get 1 Free' (they were actually 'Buy 1, Get 1 @ 50%'). For $2.47, I would have let it go but she made the cashier remove them and try again which deactivated one or more of the coupons already used. I could see the blood draining from the cashier's face as he tried to figure out what had gone wrong. Eventually a manager had to be called. All over a buck or two! This, I find totally ridiculous. I think these couponing games ought to be banned outright. Anyone with a rebuttal, try giving this situation your best shot.
