My mom left me a message about this yesterday and I just had to browse the web and see what I could find because it seemed so outrageous to me.
So here's the scoop. Apparently a KFC store in Manhattan refused to honor customers' free grilled chicken coupons – even though they clearly had grilled chicken in stock.
A group of angry customers decided to protest by having a sit-in, refusing to leave the store until they'd gotten their chicken. The manager ran off, the cops were called in, and the whole sad story made national news.
Meanwhile, in other parts of the globe, there are far worse injustices being done. But only in America do we refuse to go down without a fight. Give us our chicken!
What next? Are angry customers going to camp outside of Oprah's studio, demanding she feed them?
