Albertsons deals 7/22 – 7/28 (Northwest Region)

Albies

There are a couple really great deals this week to share…the rest of the adwas sort of ho-hum for me.  If you see something I'm missing, by all means, pipe in!

"Grocery Deals"

1.88/lb meat sale:

  • Chuck cross rib roasts
  • 85% lean ground beef
  • Round rump roast
  • Boneless, skinless chicken breast/tenders
  • Pork loin chops

0.98/lb produce sale (Fri, Sat, and Sun ONLY):
Note: there is a $1-off-$10 produce coupon in this week's ad!

  • Cherries
  • Tomatoes
  • Plums

Dozen eggs $1 each
Dannon yogurt cups $0.50 each ($0.60-off-6 from 7/19 SmartSource) = $0.40 ea
MinuteMaid Lemonade and Limeade $1 each

"Dr. Pepper Deal"

UPDATE: Deal is dead…read comments for details.

There are two separate deals going this week that overlap.  This is fondly known in Couponese as the "double dip."  Basically, it means you get an extra-extra good deal!  And this week's awesome double-dip requires no coupons!

So here are the two separate deals: 1) buy 2, get 2 free Dr Pepper 12-packs (advertised as Coke products on ad) and 2) Get a $10 off-your-next-order coupon when you spend $20 or more on participating products (guess what?  Dr Pepper is one!)

According to KrazyCouponLady, here is how the numbers work:

Buy (4) 12-packs of Dr. Pepper at $5.29 each = $21.16
The buy 2, get 2 free promotion = $10.58
AND, get a $10 off-your-next-order coupon!

That's like paying $0.58 for 48 cans of Dr. Pepper…or 1-cent apiece.  To make this even better, take your $10 coupon and use it towards the purchase of 4 more 12-packs.  This time, you'll only pay $0.58 out of pocket, but still get another $10 off-your-next-order coupon!  (By the way, there is another Couponese term for what I just described…it's called "rolling.")

"Angel Soft, Sparkle, Playtex Gloves Deal"

Thanks to the fine folks over at HCWand my friend Sarah for this HOT! deal!!

There is a Mix and Match Promotion going this week.  Buy $10 worth of items, and save $3 at the register.  This is the best scenario I could find for this promo:

Buy 2 Sparkle Paper Towels @ $1 ea = $2
Buy 2 Angel Soft TP @ $2.50 ea = $5
Buy 3 Playtex Disposable Gloves, 10 ct @ $1 ea = $3

Use (2) $2-off-2 Sparkle and Angel Soft printables
Use (3) $1-off-1 Playtex coupons (5/3 SmartSource and/or 6/28 SmartSource)
Save $3 from Mix and Match Promo

Bottom line: just pay the sales tax!!

"General Mills Save $4 Deal"

Now the details on this ad are vague, but I have a pretty good guess of what they're getting at given past Albie's promotions:

Buy 4 General Mills Cereals for $10, and save $4 on milk, bread, eggs.

What I am thinking here is you buy the four boxes of cereal and your milk, bread, and/or egg items in the same transaction.

*DEAL IDEA*
Buy 4 boxes of GM cereal = $10
Buy 4 dozen egs = $4 (this week on sale for $1 ea)

Use (2) $1-off-2 GM coupons (6/14 SmartSource, 7/12 SmartSource, 7/19 SmartSource)
Receive $4 promotional discount
Bottom line: $8 for all

Note: if you're thinking about doing this deal, I'd confirm my understanding with Customer Service first.  Also, I'd wait to see if there are any doublers this weekend.  I wouldn't consider this deal for $8, but at $6, I might if I needed the items.

Just got a phone call from Billy at the Albertsons on Cole/Fairview. Swires has pulled Dr. Pepper from the B2G2Free promotion. The $10 catalina will still print, but the way the promo was running yesterday and this morning, but Swires was basically getting “hit” twice – once for the 2 free and once for the free $10. Billy asked me to spread the word….
