Albertsons deals 7/8 – 7/14 (Northwest Region)

Albies

UPDATE: The deals in this post have now been corrected.

Guess what?  Another week of Mix and Match fun!  And, there are two doublers in this week's ad!  Even still, watch this weekend's insert just in case there are more doublers.

"The Grocery Deals"

Before I launch into all the Mix and Match fun, here are some of the other deals you might wish to consider.  I can't say any of these are "rock bottom low" prices, but are decent for sure if you need these items!

Cherries $1.69/lb
Dannon Light and Fit Yogurt $0.39 each ($1-off-10 from 6/21 SmartSource) = $2.90 for 10 or $1.90 for 10 if doubled!
Cottonelle 12 Double Rolls $5.99 ($1-off-2 from 6/14 SmartSource) = $4.99 when doubled ($0.42/roll)
Fresh Express Salads $1.67 each
Ajax $1 each
Meat buy one, get one sale running this week

"Mix and Match Promotion"

You know the song and dance.  For every 10 items you buy, $5 will automatically come off at the register with your Preferred Card.  The prices I'm providing below are after the applied discount.  (Simply add $0.50 per item to get your "before" price).  But please note that when you look for the items on the shelf, they will show the price BEFORE discount.  Don't be thrown off!

I'm excited to say many of the Kraft coupons are available again – and many pair up nicely with this week's Mix and Match!  Be sure to print yours now before they're gone again.  I'm also unsure how long Kraft will be running these promotions, so do finish stocking up on condiments, crackers, and the like if you've not done so already.

Free or better than free:

  • Kraft BBQ Sauce $0.49 ($0.75-off-1 from 6/14 SmartSource) = FREE!

"Catalina Deals"

What is a "Catalina deal," you ask?  A catalina coupon is a coupon that prints at the register.  It could either be a cents-off coupon for a specific item, or it can be a money "off your next order" coupon (AKA "OYNO" in Couponese).  These coupons are "triggered" by your purchases and are given to you along with your receipt.  These are often unadvertised deals so don't be surprised if you don't see signs posted up on the aisles about them.  These are deals put on by the manufacturers, not the store.

Now that you're in the know, here are the Cat deals currently running…

Kraft Macaroni and Cheese (Starting 7/3 – 7/26): buy 4, get $1 off-your-next order; buy 5, get $1.50; buy 6, get $2
Deal idea: Buy 8 and use (2) buy 3, get 1 free coupons (6/28 SmartSource).  Pay $3 at the register; get $2 back.  Bottom line: $1 for 8 boxes ($0.13 each)

Starkist tuna pouches (exp. ~ 7/14): Buy 5, receive a $1 off-your-next-order coupon
This *was* on the Mix and Match promos for the past two weeks but does not appear to be this week.  Instead, Albertsons has priced them 3 for $4 and you get a free Frito-Lay Singles or 100 Calorie Pack when you buy 3.  (I wonder if they couldn't handle the crazy couponers on this deal?)

Kraft Cheese shreds, chunks (exp. 7/12): buy 3, get $2; buy 4, get $3; buy 5, get $4

"Shopping Trip Ideas"

Wondering how you can take ALL this information and whittle it down to a single grocery list?  I'm getting you started right now with a simple scenario.  This seriously took me minutes to do.  I just looked at the above list and selected 10 items that I thought were good deals and items my family would use.

BUY:
3 Kraft BBQ sauce @ $0.49 each
2 Easy Mac @ $0.50 each
2 Kraft Salad Dressing @ $1.49 each
1 Marie Callendars Al Dente Pasta @ $2
2 Capri Sunrise @ $1.50 ea
Subtotal: $10.45

USE:
(3) $0.75-off-1 BBQ
(1) Buy one, get one free
(2) $1-off-1 Salad Dressing
(1) $1-off-1 Marie Callendar
(2) $1-off-1 Capri
Then, double the Marie Callendar and one Salad Dressing for an additional $2 off
Coupons: $9.75

Bottom line: pay just $0.70!! (Please note, some stores may not allow overage in which case this total will be slightly higher.)

You can find lots of other great Albertsons deals around the blogosphere at Krazy Coupon Lady!

I did the Mac and Cheese deal once and worked fine… went back again and the cashier said no go. The coupon says limit one per transaction… just be aware some cashiers will override this coupon even though it works just fine if it’s scanned.

Thanks for letting us know. If it was one per transaction, technically she should’ve let you use it if it was a separate time through checkout…but I can see why she might have been wary to do that.

I’ve noticed some of the fine print changing on coupons lately, so it’s always great to pay attention! Thanks.
