$25 Restaurant.com ecard: just 45 Swagbucks!

I was looking at my Swagbucks account today and a new prize caught my eye.  For just 45 Swagbucks, you can snag a $25 Restaurant.com ecard!  While I've yet to try this service myself, I have heard great things about it and plan on giving it a go soon.  Basically, you can buy restaurant gift cards at a huge discount – and there are lots of great places to choose from.  These gift cards do have special restrictions on them, but they still are an excellent way to save on eating out.

Restaurant ecard

I typed in my area code and found many local restaurants near me.  Many of them give me an option to purchase a $25 gift card for $10.  A lot of them do require a minimum purchase of $35 to redeem, but still a great savings!

So here's why I'm posting this deal.  With a $25 Restaurant ecard, you'd easily be able to purchase (2) $25 gift cards and then (1) $10 gift card.  Let's say then you spend $35 at the 2 restaurants you had $25 for, and you spend $20 at the one you had $10 for.  Here's how your math would work:

Total spent at restaurants: $90
Total saved with cards: $60
Total spent out of pocket: $30!

If you already eat out, this is a wonderful way to defray some of that expense.  And redeeming just 45 Swagbucks to give it a try and save $60 seems like a HOT deal to me!  If you don't know about Swagbucks, read my post here.  I would guess if you got started today, you'd have enough points in about 3 weeks to claim this prize.  Not bad!

Any idea if this can be used together with a resteraunt.com sale? That would be beyond amazing!

I don’t see why not! I just redeemed some of my points, but am hoping to snag this up myself as soon as I’m up to 45 again!

I’m excited about this possibility! I think it could be a FANTASTIC way to save on eating out! (Or now you could finally treat yourself!!).

Those of you that have used this service – I’d love for you to drop a line and let us know your thoughts on this deal. Also, does anyone know if you can combine your gift card with other coupons (say, Entertainment coupons)?
