Walgreens deals 8/9 – 8/15

Walgreens_logo1

I know I recently announced my drugstore deals would be up on Fridays, but in discussing this with a fellow blogger, I have some concerns in doing so due to the fact that the ad isn't generally available until Saturday.  It's important to me that I do everything possible to run my blog with integrity and since there's a little doubt cast, I need to move my deal posts back to Saturday.  I apologize for the inconvenience, but hope you understand!

*Register Rewards are coupons that print out after your payment has been processed at checkout.  In general, only ONE will print per deal, per transaction.  (So don't expect to buy 10 toothpastes and get 10 Register Rewards.)  These are good on virtually ANY item in the store (read the fine print for the few exclusions).  You can also turn around and use these immediately.  Do remember, however, that per Walgreens policy, you must have at least as many item as manufactures coupons, and Register Rewards fall into this category.  If you have more items than coupons, simply throw in a cheap "filler item" to ensure your transaction processes.  Also note that these generally have an expiration date of about two weeks out, so pay attention!

Walgreens' Register Rewards do not "roll."  For those of you unfamiliar with Couponese, that means you cannot use your Register Rewards on the same deal in order to receive another Register Rewards coupon.  However, you may apply a Register Rewards from one deal and use it on another.

For more instruction on Walgreens' Register Rewards, read my post here.

Hi! I’m confused as to how the Nivea for Mea works out to free? If they’re 2 for $10 and you use 2 $1 coupons and get $5 RR back, doesn’t that work out to 2 for $3? Thanks!

Nope, it would not be free. This is what happens when I stay up too late to do these! Sheesh.

Thanks for the catch. I wish it was free!

I did the Loreal deal but the so called RR says, good on your next LOREAL purchase.

Cali – oh dear! You’re right. I just went back to the ad and I see where the verbiage states that. If I were you, I would consider returning the items (along with the RR)…unless that is, you really dig L’Oreal.

I apologize for not catching that.

A. Marie – thanks. It took me awhile to find the right one…many of the new ones have the Listerine at 1 lt..

I used this one myself yesterday on the deal. Worked perfect! Plan to do it once more before the week is out. ;)
