Fred Meyer deals 9/13 – 9/19

Fred Meyer

Another week at Fred Meyer! Are you excited? I'll start by reminding you of the deals that are still good through September 15th with your Extra Savings coupon booklet (these are found in the front of the store). Then, I'll move into our weekly deals. Finally, we'll end up with deals elsewhere in the store I was able to put together. (Yeah, I decided I should probably let you know about these now, too!)

Grocery deals and coupon matchups through September 15

UPDATE! Be sure to read my new post here about a few other great finds right now at Fred Meyer!

Did you know Fred Meyer puts these great store coupon books together?  They are called "Extra Savings" booklets and you can find them in the kiosk in the front of the store.  They are chalk full of store coupons.  One of the things that makes Fred Meyer so great in my opinion is that they are extremely coupon friendly (at least my store is).  Not only do they put these coupons in their booklet, you will often find copies of the coupons right on the shelf by the product!  Best of all, you can stack your manufacturer's coupons with these for extra savings.

The coupons from the current booklet are good through September 15, so I will tackle those first before moving into the weekly sale items.

Deals throughout the store

Here are some deals you find at Fred Meyer outside of the grocery aisles!  Venture out with me!

Apparel:
Save 15% on apparel, shoes, and accessories with in-ad coupon (no limit)

Cosmetics:
FREE Tote ($14.99 value) with any $25 cosmetics purchase and in-store coupon.  I'm unsure if the $25 is before or after coupons.  If someone goes to do this deal, please let us know!  If the $25 is BEFORE coupons, you might have a decent deal.

Entertainment:
FREE Schick Quattro Titanium Razor or Trimmer and King Size Snickers with the purchase of X-Men: Wolverine on DVD or Blu-ray and in-store coupon.  Offer valid 9/15-9/19.  Limit 1.

Baby:

UPDATE: Please read this post about this deal! There have been some issues with it and I got some clarification from Fred Meyer on 9/17.

UPDATE! One of my readers reminded me that there's a 15% off baby coupon in the Fred Meyer ad. Because it's a store coupon, I'm thinking it should work with the deal below, making it even better. If someone does this, please let me know if it works!

Ooooo…I love this one!  When you spend $25 or more on select Gerber apparel and accessories, you will receive a $10 Fred Meyer gift card in return!  (And if you spend $15, you'll get a $5 card.) And, I was able to find a few Gerber printable coupons for you to use, including (conveniently) a $5 off your $25 purchase! Update: stack with the 15% Fred Meyer baby coupon from the ad.

*DEAL IDEA*
Purchase $25
Use the 15% of Fred Meyer coupon to save $3.75
Use the $5-off-$25 printable
Submit for $10 Gift Card

Bottom line: $6.25 (savings of 60%!)

Housewares:
Faberware Skillets and Cookware Sets are 50%, AND there is a 10% off in-ad coupon you could use.  So a 10-piece cookware set retailing for $79.99 would work out to $36 after discount and coupon!

On a final note, thanks to everyone who has been sending me their best Fred Meyer tips and comments! Keep it coming.

Angela, Thanks so much for helping me get the great deals at Freddies. I used to be a strictly Albertsons gal but these days when we are watching our pennies more than ever before, I buy where the deals are. Because I am physcially challenged I need the extra service that places like FM and Albs provide and with my coupons and the knowledge of great deals we still have some of the really great things in life. I saved enough over the past nine years for my hubby & I to go on a cruise to Hawaii in March 2010! Thanks again. Knowledge is power and power is choices.

Lorna, congrats on your accomplishment! I hope your cruise is everything you’ve hoped for. Thanks for your input – much appreciated!

I just wanted to mention/ask about the extra 15% off savings pass found in FM’s add in the paper this sunday for baby apparrel. If we are aloud to use this as part of the deal it makes the gerber promo even better! Do you know if this will work?

I totally forgot about that! So I grabbed my insert and read the fine print – I think you might be able to use it. Thanks for the tip…I’m going to update my post now.

About the Breyer’s Ice Cream coupon… I clicked on the link which takes you to the Breyer’s website, but I can’t find a coupon on it. Can you explain where it is on this page please? Thanks!

Shoot! The website appears to have changed from last week! Sheesh. I’m going to see if I can find another one…last week I’m pretty sure the coupon was under “promotions.”

Did the gerber deal today. Can’t confirm if it worked or not maybe the catalina didn’t work…bought 3 sheets @7 and a pair of booties @6 (limited choices) after all was said and done with 5/25 15% and there b1g1 50% off sale it turned out to be 13.98 no one seemed to know if the deal was regular price total or after all savings stood at customer service for 30 min and finally they just gave me a 10 gc…so not the deal exactly….

I am new to this coupon thing and I got very frustrated at Freddies today. I bought 2 $10 items and 1 $6 dollar item. They took the 15% off each item first and they wouldn’t take my $5 off coupon because they said it had to be done when the total was $25 or more and they wouldn’t take the 15% off after they took the $5 off. So they took the 15% off and they took my $2/2 coupon but then since my total was less than $25 she said that I only qualified for a $5 gift card. Which just isn’t a good enough deal for me, I really want the $10 card. Does anyone have suggestions? I am thinking I will just return what I got…please help!

Thanks everyone for your feedback! I haven’t done the Gerber deal and have only recently begun to explore how deals at Fred Meyer’s works. I will put a call into Customer Service a bit later to see if I can get some additional information on the Gerber advertised deal. Bethany & Mamanard, I’m sorry for your frustrating experiences! Bethany, if the deal didn’t work to your liking, yup, I’d be with you in thinking it might be best to return it.
