I love
Swagbucks…it's a great way to earn prizes for doing something you probably do already anyway…do Web searches. Maybe you've heard me talk about it, but haven't taken the time to get started. Well, September is here and it's a great time to sign up!
I was recently contacted by the good folks at Swagbucks and they've recently launched a new toolbar. During the month of September, you'll receive one Swagbuck per day the toolbar is up on your computer…for a total of 30 Swagbucks if you download it today!
And if you haven't signed up with Swagbucks yet, here's another incentive. Coupon Project readers can earn 5 Swagbucks when they use the code aswagger at signup (case sensitive).
What does one do with Swagbucks? You rack them up and then redeem them for prizes. They have music, movies, memorabilia, gift cards…and now you can even redeem them for cash into your PayPal account!
What do I do with my Swagbucks? Right now, I've been redeeming them for credit at Amazon.com. 45 Swagbucks earns you $5 credit at Amazon. Once I receive my e-certificate, I add it to my Amazon account. I've been slowly building my Amazon account. My goal is to be able to buy my bedroom furniture this way…nothing out of pocket. I still have a ways to go, but it's sure an interesting goal to shoot for, don't you think?
Money Saving Mom has another interesting use for Swagbucks. She uses them to buy diapers for her baby. Also a smart idea!
How many Swagbucks can you earn? I find by doing simple online searches, I can generally earn 1-2 bucks per day. You can also earn Swagbucks by trading in your used cell phones and video games. If you have a blog or website, you can also promote Swagbucks on your site. Let's say you sign up today. You'll earn 5 bucks off the bat. Download the toolbar, and at the end of September, you'll have earned another 30 bucks. Earn approximately 1 buck per day doing online searches. At the end of the month, you'll have earned 65 bucks, more than enough to claim an Amazon card or many other prizes.
What else is going on in September? Swagbucks has added lots of back-to-school items as prizes. This would be a good way to help get your child the items they need while reducing your out-of-pocket expenses. There is also going to be a version of Bingo going (called Swaggo). When you redeem your Swagbucks for a prize, you'll receive a Swaggo chip. Collect three in a row and you'll win 1,000 Swagbucks!
