Safeway deals 9/2 – 9/8 (Northwest Region)

You can view the entire Safeway ad up over here.  I have to say, the "deals" this week are pretty light.  Out of curiosity, do many of you shop at Safeway on a regular basis?  I'd be curious to get some reader feedback.  Do you primarily shop at Safeway?  Just do the deals and nothing else?  In my opinion, Safeway has some occasional good deals, but in general, they are overpriced.  Would love some comments.

As a reminder, you can load your Safeway Club Card with P&G eSaver coupons.  This is easy to do.  On the site, you enter your card number and then simply select the ecoupons you'd like to have added.  I believe it generally takes an hour or so for them to be fully activitated and ready to use.  Then, when you buy the matching items, the coupon amount will come automatically off your total.  Simple!

Additionally, there are some Safeway store coupons available here.  Be sure to check them out before heading to the store, too.  Right now, there's a $0.50/1 10-lb bag russet potatoes as well as a $1/1 skinless, boneless chicken breast coupon.

* Super Coupons are found inside your weekly Safeway ad.  You must present your Safeway Club Card AND the coupon at the time of purchase.  In order to redeem, your total purchase price must be $20, but I've recently learned that this price can include the Super Coupon items.  (For instance, if you have a $5 Super Coupon item, you'd only need to purchase $15 more.)  Most Super Coupons limit you to one per transaction, so be sure to read the fine print.  Because Super Coupons are store coupons, you can also use a manufacturer's coupon towards the same item.  This is known in Couponese as "stacking."  Manufacturer's coupons are found in Sunday paper inserts, magazines, online (Internet printables), in "blinkie" machines in stores, and on items (peelies) – to name a few.  A true manufacturer coupon should state that it is a "manufacturer" coupon somewhere on the coupon.
