Filler Item Ideas

As a reminder, you must have at least as many items in your transaction as manufacturer's coupons. Register Rewards are treated as manufacturer's coupons, too. So if you are planning on buying 4 items with 4 manufacturer's coupons and a Register Reward, you'll be out of balance. To remedy this, select another item – ANY item to add to your order. Below are some of my ideas for low-cost ways to make your transactions work. Oh and Walgreens coupons aren't factored into the equation – so fill free to use 'em!

Discounted Halloween items – look for heavily discounted items on the seasonal aisle
Geisha mushrooms or mandarin oranges: $0.50 each with in-ad coupon (limit 4)
Hunt's tomato sauce: $0.33 each with in-ad coupon (limit 3)

Ready for another fun-filled week of Fred Meyer shopping? Here are some of the best deals I was able to muster for you this week. About Rite Aid Rebates

If you've never used Rite Aid's rebate program before, you'll be glad to know it's easy.  Start by creating an online account here.  Then, come back and simply enter a few pieces of info from your receipts.  At the end of the monthly rebate cycle, submit for your check and viola!  you're done.  Of course, you could do it the old fashioned way by circling items on receipts and mailing them all in…but why would you?

Shoes1030

I don't know the last time I almost cried using a coupon. But when I saw my total went from $165 to $82 (this includes tax), I nearly did just that! I heartily thanked the cashier for "shoe-ing" my family today.

Each of my kids scored two new pairs of shoes, and I even snagged three pairs myself! It'd been a LONG time since I've gone shoe shopping, and at 50% off, I decided to take the opportunity. I also found some socks for my son and a pair of tights for my daughter.

Oh, and we had no problem whatsoever using the coupon. The cashier knew exactly what it was. The store wasn't too crowded, either. She said they got an onslaught of customers following the Oprah show yesterday though.

Remember, that 50% off printable coupon is good today only – and you can use it on items like socks! Don't need anything yourself? Maybe you can think of a single mom or dad trying to make ends meet – why not help her/his family out today? Or maybe you could donate a few pairs to your church or local homeless shelter? This would be a perfect opportunity to show some generosity today without breaking the bank.

Noah

While the ad says "Free Bagel Fridays," the coupon is good through 11/3 – which is Tuesday. Upon further inspection, the fine print reads: "Coupon may only be used once per day per week." Therefore, I think it's safe to assume you could use it ANY day of the week, so long as it's before 11 am (refer to the ad).

If in doubt, call your local Noah's Bagel store for clarification! No purchase necessary; limit one per customer.

The above 12-piece Tools of the Trade Basic cookware set normally sells for $100, but right now it's on sale for $39.99. Plus, when you use coupon code BIRTHDAY, your price will drop to just $33.99! Dealcatcher reports that shipping is $9.95, but free if your total order is $100 or more.

This basic set would be good if you are just starting out and need some essentials to cook with!

Go here to see the item and/or to order.
