October is all about helping you get started with coupons month!

If you think I'm some old pro at couponing, think again. I've just been at this for one year! And October marks the one-year anniversary of my love affair with coupons (don't worry, my husband knows).

When I started this blog WAAAAYYYYY back in February I named it The Coupon Project because I wanted it to be my project to see how much I could save by using coupons. As I've grown over the past few months and had the chance to connect with friends, family, and readers, I've decided I'm changing what The Coupon Project is about. (After all it's my blog, and I can do what I want.).

So what is The Coupon Project? The Coupon Project is my project to get as many of you as possible saving money by using couponse! It's no longer a project about me - it's a project all about you! Will you join? Say you will – pretty please? JOIN! And the best part? No credit card required! No dumb software to purchase or weekend-long seminar to sit through and wonder the whole time if Jimmy is minding the babysitter. Just pure, fun posts written by yours truly.

So where are you at with couponing? Have you been on the fence about it? Dabbled in it? Wondered how it fits into your already-full life? Well, in honor of my one-year anniversary of learning how to couponing, I'm spreading the love by dedicating this month to all things getting started and helping you save money. And I'm not just talking saving $0.50 off a bottle of mustard, folks. I want to help as many of my readers save at least 50% off their groceries! (Yes, you read that right. And no, I'm not nuts.)

Are you ready to give it a try? And if you're already couponing, ready to take it to the next level? Well hold onto your hats, and get ready for a series of posts written in as simple, plain language as I can muster. There will be photos for my visual learners, humor for my easily-bored readers, and hard-core math for the skeptics. And for those of you that have questions, I'm going to do my very best to personally get you the answers you need.

So welcome to October, my friends. It's gonna be one fun-filled, money-saving month.

I’m looking forward to your lessons this month. So many deal blogs get bogged down in the match-ups and links that it’s hard for one to stand out. Please keep teaching.

I can’t even begin to tell you how much you have helped me with my own coupon project. I have been in it since January of this year and you are the main one I have learned it from. Thank you! Thank you! Thank you!
