In my Walgreens post yesterday I mentioned that Oust was on a "buy one, get one free" sale. In the ad, "Oust Air" was pictured. I had found a coupon good for the "buy one, get one free" Oust Surface & Air and mentioned that IF in fact this product was also on the buy one, get one sale you could essentially end up with both for free. In hindsight, I should have confirmed the sale products before including on my deals post.
Unfortunately, it appears that ONLY the Air product is on the buy one, get one free sale. That being said, please DO NOT use the Surface & Air coupon on this sale – these are two entirely different products and is a misuse of the coupon. (Note the difference in the product images above.)
Remember – just because the store takes the coupon does not mean that they'll be reimbursed. As always, please exercise correct coupon usage so we'll enjoy great sales and coupons to come. Fellow bloggers, if you have this deal up on your blog, please consider making the necessary corrections.
AND if I'm missing something here, please let me know!

You’re absolutely right! I checked it out this morning and was bummed! Hopefully it’ll go BOGO at Rite Aid soon!
Yeah, I’m hopeful we’ll still see a great deal to use it on…but this is NOT the one.
I did this deal this morning and the cashier took the coupon! I will feel bad if the store doesn’t get reimbursed. Yikes.
I have a dilemma here…I went to Walgs this evening and tried the Johnson and Johnson deal. I am kind of new at this and I really tried hard to get just over $30 mark. This is what I bought:
2 lubriderm lotions (both had an extra travel sample attached…score!) $7.99 each
2 aveeno baby shampoo $5.99 each
2 Aveeno face soap $7.29 each
I thought it was just enough with the buy 1 get 1 50% off – I calculated it multiple times. And then I had all the appropriate coupons…I couldn’t find my Walg store coupon for Lubriderm, but I thought it was still a good deal and I was going to go for it.
I did a previous transaction where I obtained some more RR$ (plus some others from a previous trip) so I knew that my OOP wasn’t going to be too bad. Well, it wasn’t at about $11 total OOP. I thought this was a little bit low for what I calculated, but I was late meeting someone, so I paid and left.
Well, I went to look at my receipt and somehow, the computer had gave me a deal where it was buy 1 get 1 FREE!!! So, my receipt shows that I purchased 6 JJ items, but then at the bottom, it shows 3 of them taken off as free. So, my question is…is this showing that I didn’t actually pay $30 worth of items (for me to get the rebate) or I did get $30+ worth of items and I happened to get 3 of them for free in the deal?
Do I need to go back? and if I do, am I SOL for the RR$ that I used? Or maybe I should just purchase a couple more things to get up to that $30. Can we use multiple receipts to get to the $30 for the rebate? It doesn’t specifically state this on the rebate form. HELP!!!
thanks for any guidance you may be able to provide.
take care,
Liz
To Jennifer and any one else that’s done this deal unintentionally…you have a couple options. First, you could contact your store and explain the situation and ask if they’d like you to return the items. If you truly did the deal unintentionally, I wouldn’t be as concerned. But to my readers that have read this post and now know better…think twice!
Thank you.
Liz, I am pretty sure you can use multiple receipts. Unless is specifically states on the form otherwise, you should be fine. GO back and take a look.
It is good you are so observant. I did this deal last night and used those coupons. Yikes is right, what to do now??
Again, if it were me…I’d call the store and explain what happened. See what they want you to do. Put it back on them. This would also show you care about being an “honest couponer.” IMO – your long-term relationship with the store outweighs any “deal.”
Incidentally, this product HAS been on BOGO before – so let’s just wait for the right sale! Thanks friends!
