Reader’s success on Safeway’s Betty Crocker fruit snack sale!

Reader Terra emailed me this afternoon, excited to have gotten in on the great Safeway Betty Crocker deal I posted about this morning. Here’s how she did:

Terra is fortunate to live in an area where Safeway doubles coupons. So her bottom line? A profit of $2.90 for “buying” 12 boxes of fruit snacks! SCORE!

So if any of you have Safeways that double coupons, this sweet deal just got a little sweeter. Go here to learn more how this deal works. I’ve got the printable coupons linked up and ready for you!

Thanks for taking the time to share, Terra!

this was really great! THanks so much for sharing it while I ride my couponing high! I have never had a cash register give me change when I didn’t give it a penny! That was just great!

I did this deal today, but was told I could not use one coupon per item. They said they would let it slide this time, but don’t do it any more. I asked if I could find this new policy on the website, they said no. I read to them off the coupon and they said they understand what the coupon states, but that they won’t be allowing it any more. They also both agreed it was a dumb new policy. So if I purchase 4 fruit by the foots, i can’t have 4 coupons, but if I got up with 4 different items all together they can each have their own coupon? It doesn’t make sense.
Anyone else running into this “new policy” that is no where to be found?

Amy, I am sorry you had such a bizzare experience! I take it your coupons were like $0.40 off 1 vs. $0.40 off 2, right? You are the second reader to let me know of a bizzare “new” Safeway coupon policy. This is sort of why I hesitate from posting their deals regularly! LOL!

Also, I have had a couple folks mention problems with using ecoupons and print coupons together. Know that I have been busy contacting the powers that be to get an “official scoop” on what’s the deal. I’ll likely share my findings in a post next week.

Problems, anyone else? Successes?

I had no problems with the deal. I have never had a problem with coupons at Safeway. I guess I should knock on wood now.

I took advantage of this deal yesterday. The only problem I had was that I was only able to print (1) $1/2 coupon for the first transaction. So I paid $1 for all eight boxes of my fruit snacks. I’ll get over it. Oh and that the cashier told me they were having a good deal on cereal. I laughed and told him I was already stocked on that item. I don’t think he was amused by two purchases of eight boxes of fruit by the foot and a six-pack of beer for the hubby. Ha!
