At checkout the other day, I noticed that Trident Layers gum was priced at $1.25.
In the 2/7 SmartSource, there was a coupon for $0.75/1. Double this and you got free gum!
Reader Julie also reports having found tearpads of $0.75/1 Morningstar items at her Albertsons. I noticed these too – they were on a door in the frozen section. Doubled, she said she could find items for around $2. (You might also hold onto these coupons for Winco, where items are normally in the $2-3 range.) Thanks, Julie!
Is everyone else having fun at Albertsons? What sort of deals and freebies are you finding? Remember, the doublers are only good through tomorrow, so make use of 'em!

Speaking of Albertson’s, I went to Albertson’s yesterday to redeem my raincheck for Life and Oatmeal Squares cereal from the great Quaker deal a couple weeks ago. The store was still out of both cereals except for 3 cinnamon Squares, which I bought. I was impressed that Customer Service wrote me a new raincheck for the cereal, thus extending my raincheck another 30 days. I am hopeful they will have restocked their shelves before then, I can track down some coupons (is that ethical?) and still take advantage of the now defunct, wonderful Quaker deal.
Although I am getting some great deals at Albertson’s, I do wish they could keep more stock on the shelves. I wasn’t able to obtain the “free” tuna or any of Scott TP on sale. More rainchecks!
