Some deals are worth stocking up on – even without coupons

I want to illustrate how you don't always need coupons to stock up. The majority of my savings come from shopping store sales – the coupons make things sweeter (and sometimes free)!

Reader Amy participated in the Quaker sale this week at Albertsons, even though she only had one $1/2 Granola Bars coupon. Still, she spent only $26 for everything pictured. Had these items not been on sale, she would've paid more like $110!

This sale goes through tomorrow. Make sure to take advantage. If your store is running low or out of stock, try asking Customer Service for a raincheck. I didn't see anything about "no rainchecks" for this sale – it might be worth a try!

Thanks for sharing your trip, Amy! Great job!

My store here in Auburn was OUT of everything! It was so frustrating at first — but then I remembered about rainchecks! And sure enough – I went to the Cust. service counter and got one, no problem! :) Thanks for the reminder . . .

Your welcome! :) The Dinosaur Egg oatmeal was a big hit with my 4 year old who previously wasn’t eating oatmeal at all. I’m seriously considering going back and getting more! :)

I picked up a couple boxes. I think my son will like it, but my 20-month old daughter was NOT amused. She spit the little dinosaurs out in disgust. Oh well…you win some, you lose some.
