I did NOT realize I could be making you $$ by printing coupons through your site! Maybe that is common knowledge- but I personally had no idea how blogs made $$!
Consider my ways changed!

I notice, when looking and reading these blogs, most are located in the Northern part of the US...wondering why? I live in OKC area and there are hardy any blogs that deal with "deals" in my area. I love to coupon and do quite well (60-70% savings). I want to start my own blog so that I can post great deals in my area for those of us down here. Any suggestions? I would love to hear from you and know approx. what it cost to get LLC/legal docs.
Thanks, JK

Thanks for being so open with this topic. It is hard to find out honest information about monetizing one's blog.

I really appreciate your hard work. I do feel it one of the highest quality bargain blogs out there because it's not cluttered with ads and you don't post deals just to make a buck. I really get turned off when I feel like blogs are primarily posting deals for that purpose. While I do feel bloggers who work hard should be compensated, a lot of them sacrifice quality and standards to do so. I can count on you to post deals that you believe in and that are legitimately a good for your readers. I am glad that it is paying off. Thanks!

Thanks for dropping by, Cathy! All: you need to check out their site. Theirs is a great example of a blog focused on quality content that cares about helping get readers the best deals. It is also NOT cluttered with ads. Please refer to it as a good example of what you SHOULD do.

Other bloggers that don't mind opening up a bit - how long did it take for you to earn money off your blog? What would you say about the money you make each month and about the work you have to put in to get it? I'd love to hear from others - particularly ones that have been at this longer than me (which is many of you!!).

Ditto, ditto, ditto!! We were 5 months in before we decided to look into affiliates. We made $35.00 our first month with coupons.com and were sooooo excited! Ha ha! I agree about not putting tons of junk up. I don't like to sift through posts with junk advertisements, I'm certainly not going to make my readers do it! :) Blogging is fun, but it certainly takes a LOT of time to build it up enough to make it worth it! What a great series!
