My fun Rite Aid trip this morning!

I couldn't wait to get to Rite Aid this morning! I thought I'd show you my trip and how I did it.

RiteAidMarch7Trip

Here's what I got:

6 Cover Girl cosmetic products
2 Biore Pore Strips
2 Biore Cleansers
3 John Frieda Products

And here are the coupons I used:

3 Buy one, get one free Cover Girl from 2/7 P&G
2 Get a free Biore Cleanser when you buy a Pore Strip coupons from 3/7 SmartSource
1 $1/1 Biore AdPerks coupon (I realized there was one this morning!)
2 $3/1 John Frieda coupons (I was one shy – still makes for a great deal though!)
1 $1/1 John Frieda AdPerks coupon (Root Awakening)
$5-off-$20 Rite Aid printable

I paid at the register: $23.86 (and $5.84 of this was tax!)

I will then submit for the $5 Biore rebate and the $5 John Frieda rebate (both Rite Aid rebates)

Bottom line? $13.86 for everything – and again, nearly $6 of that is just tax!! My total savings was a whopping $101.87 (that includes store sales, rebates, and coupons); $48.45 was just coupons, too. That's 88% off today, baby. The Cover Girl was my favorite part of this deal – it was all free – I only had to pay tax! It was fun shopping for new makeup – for free!

By the way, last night I mentioned you should be able to use the BOGO Facebook Starburst coupon on the Rite Aid Starburst BOGO sale and get both free. Reader Tonya was right – the sizes are different on the coupon than from the sale – so it's a no go. As you can see though, there are still some rockin' sales that make Rite Aid worth doing this week. Hurry for best selection.

The Cover Girl deal came for me just the right time – my foundations were getting old and I’m completely out of pressed powder! The “Ageless” makeup seems pretty cool, too. That one round foundation I bought was normally $15.99!!! Crazy to think what I used to pay for make-up in my pre-couponing days! ;)

If any of you find a good deal, remember I love to feature reader trips!!

Angela, they accepted the cover girl bogo coupon for none face products? Mine said you had to buy the stuff under the “Face” display which is blush and foundation and that eye products were not included for this coupon….did it beep and come up as no matching item? Just curious! Thanks for all you do!

My RiteAid had tons of Shampoos on clearance. I was able to get Loreal Shampoos for .49 cents, John Freida shampoos for like a $1, Gillette men’s shampoos for around a $1!! Plus I got 6 FREE Root Awakenings shampoos/conditioners, 4 FREE CoverGirl cosmetics (normally $15.99), 2 gillette deodorants, 2 gillette body washes, 2 loreal eye shadows. With tax I spent $19.47 at the register. Plus I get to submit for 2 John Freida rebates!!

Definitely right about the starburst and skittles but you can still get 2 packs of each for 88 cents. I had a pretty good trip with diapers. It’s posted here:

I was also wondering about the CoverGirl eye makeup. I could use that since I still have foundation from the last Rite Aid Buy 1 – Get 1 deal.

I also did the Starburst tear & share sized candies with my buy 1 – get 1 coupon. They just deducted $1.10, leaving me paying $.39 for 2. It was a good way to get my total up to $25 to use the $5 coupon.

At my store, nearly all the Cover Girl seemed to be on BOGO! Even some of the brushes (however, I don’t think you could use the coupon on that).

Yeah, I guess the coupon *would* work, you just won’t get the items for free. I am holding onto mine in hopes of another great deal!!

One of my John Frieda products rang up at $3.49- I hope the rebate will still work. If not, I guess I can take that one back and exchange it. If it works, though, I made $0.51 (not including tax) on the deal!

I was going to ask you how you were managing to do more than one rebate, since the John Frieda and Biore were part of the same rebate- but I just saw the TINY TINY print that said limit (3) rebates! Maybe I’ll have to make another trip- my store was out of the Biore Pore Strips on the coupon – but I didn’t get there til Wednesday, since I’ve been sick.

Question: If I didn’t fulfill the requirements for one of the rebates (didn’t notice it was buy 2, only bought 1) can I go buy the needed item and fulfill the requirement? OR, do I need to return the item and buy 2 in order for them to be on the same receipt?
Bottom line: Do items in a deal all need to be on the same receipt or can they be from separate transactions?

Thanks!

I went to Rite Aid and did this deal with the BOGO face coupons and you can get mascara and eye stuff too, it’s not just face stuff that is included, since it doesn’t say does not include eye products. It was awesome. I paid a total of $7.63 and I got 6 CG products, milk, blistex chapstick, and biore face lotion (this lotion was 50% off at my Rite Aid). I love coupons!!
