Today I ended up with a better trip than expected.
First stop: Safeway for some free Quaker Oatmeal Square cereal! I had three coupons for $1/1, so I got three boxes for free. As a reminder, the deal is a Mix & Match where you have to buy 5 boxes to get the $5 discount. To round off my deal, I bought 2 boxes of Honey Nut Cheerioes, and I'd conveniently received a $1/2 in the coupon in the mail. Total bill at Safeway: $2.
Now here's the really fun part: Albertsons! So the Milton/Edgewood (WA) store is undergoing some remodeling, and they were having some crazy cool clearance sales. There are some in front of the store – where they typically carry promotional items. I found Playtex for $2, Seventh Generation Paper Towels for $2, and shelf/cupboard liners for $0.75. I didn't end up buying any of this, but I did notice on the aisle that carries paper goods, there were carts full of cleaning products marked down to $1 and $2.
And I nearly wet myself when I saw a Orange Glo mop set – including the cleaner and everything – for $2! I LOVE this stuff – it works way better than Swiffer IMO, and it's normally about $15.99!
The bad news? The store was out of the Old Orchard juice I'd planned to buy for the Just C.H.I.L.L. promotion. But I could hardly care after all the other great deals I found to use my Catalinas on! So here's my final score:
After Catalinas ($13.50), my Albertsons total was just $1.14 – and $0.50 of that was tax! How cool is that? I also used part of my Catalinas to buy two News Tribune papers today. All told, I spent $3.14 on everything pictured and saved $70.11 - a savings rate of 96%! And, to make matters better, I received a $2 off-my-next-order survey on the bottom of my Albertsons receipt.
Note, if you live near the Milton/Edgewood Albertsons, you may well want to RUN and not walk for some of these deals. The Seventh Generation cleaners were just $1. I didn't have any coupons handy for them (I just used my Catalina coupons), but I bet you'd yield some free/cheap cleaners if you had any!

Seventh Generation products are on clearance at my Albertson’s too. I go to the one in Auburn on Main Street.
Were they on clearance for $1, Tonya? If so, I may do a separate post alerting folks about this!!
I’m not sure…I just know I saw the red clearance tags on all seventh generation. I didn’t look at the price.
Awesome deals! Good for you. I, too hit the stores today: Walgreens, Safeway, Fred Meyers and Albertsons x 2. I planned my deals while I gatered my coupons; used Walgreens RR and Albertson Cats to cut my costs. My semifinal (semifinal because FM does not really give you your full savings on the receipt) deal is: spent $41.51 and saved $104.98! i ended up with a Walgreens RR for $3.50, a Albertsons Cat for $5.00 and a Safeway cat for $3.50!!! Wooohoo!!! Can you say awesome, because I can say it! The deals did not go exactly as I had hoped, but they were very close. I am extremely grateful to all you gals who blog and let us gals at home make use of all the great deals you post. THANK YOU!

Good luck!!!! Based on Tonya’s post, the Seventh may be on sale at more than one Albertsons. When I left today, there was at least a good cartful left. I’d also check the shelves directly.
I asked the cashier and she said the remodel won’t be done until May. Might be worth keeping an eye on that store for stuff moving into clearance….
Just called Federal Way Albie’s-they said they don’t have any on clearance. I’m hoping they still put them out there soon! Then I called Milton and the guy I talked to said he just went through the clearance carts and all the Seventh Gen products were gone. BOO! Oh well, hopefully we’ll still see some around.
I just left the Albertsons in Milton on Sunday night and there were at least a half dozen Seventh Generations still left. They were all out of the Mop N Glo though Oh well. I was pumped to find a Clorox laundry detergent for HE washer too for $2!! Plus I had a $1 off coupon for it!
I scored at Albertsons today. The GreenWorks dish detergent is on sale for $1.97 and there’s an internet printable for $1, plus I had doublers so they were free. They also had the Schick Intuition for $4.99, and I had a $4.00 coupon so it was .99(they don’t double over $1.00). They had Bic Soleil on clearance for $3.89(had a $2 coupon) and Schick men’s 8 pack clearanced at $3.84(had a $3 coupon); also had Febreeze diffusers on clearance for $4, and had a $2 coupon for that. Plus they leave massive stacks of doubles at the customer service counter! This is at the Albertson’s on 128th St and 1st S in Burien.
