Reader Vicki left a comment last night saying that her Albertsons manager indicated there will be three doublers this Sunday! While this is heresay, I wanted to give you a heads-up that you might want to save your coupons in anticipation!
What's a doubler coupon, you ask? These store coupons stack with manufacturers' coupons of your choice (such as printable coupons, Sunday insert coupons, blinkies, etc.) and double the value of the coupon. So if you have a $1 off yogurt, present it with a doubler at checkout for $2 off!
Here are a few immediate ideas I have for you. I'll let you know if there are others after seeing this weekend's paper. Personally? I'm all over free No Yolks!
Campbells Cream Chicken/Mushroom Soup $0.75 Just C.H.I.L.L. Promotion Buy any 10 participating items, get a coupon at checkout good for $10 off your next order (this is also known as a "Catalina coupon" by the way). See more on this promotion in my Albertsons weekly deal post. I wanted to give you a few ideas for how you might use the doubler coupons on top of this promotion for deep discounts.

I purchased the Hot Pocket Sideshots and the CAT printed fine.
Yes there are doublers starting sunday and ending Tuesday. They had stacks at checkout at my Albertson’s. I snagged about 8 sets of 3.
FYI-The Pepprigge Farm crackers have two coupons in them. One $1/2 PF cookies and $1/2 PF crackers. We love these crackers. I thrilled to get them with a sale and doublers!
Thanks ladies for all the tips & info!!!
I went to Albertson’s last night, and was able to buy the full sized Red Baron pizzas for 2.99 and got the $10 off coupon. Hubby was happy, they’re his favorite dinner on nights I don’t cook. LOL
Do you know if Albie’s adjust the amount on a manu coupon if there is an overage? Wondering if I need a “filler” when I buy the No Yolks?
In my experience, if I just tell them at checkout that the doubler will exceed the item amount, they can adjust down the doubler. So on the No Yolks, the manufacturer coupon will take off $0.75, and they should adjust the doubler value to $0.54 so both coupons give you $1.29, or free.
Thanks, Ang! That helps me out! And WOOHOO that I got a raincheck last time on the Danonino yogurt-I’ll get some of that for free with my doublers this time around. I love it when that happens.
SCORE!! I’m hoping we’ll see a few extra items in the ad and new coupons for additional freebie ideas.
My No Yolks coupon states, “Coupon NOT subject to doubling. The coupon is redeemable at face value only.”
Hi Meghan: this may be a YMMV sort of situation. After a recent conversation with my a local store manager, I was told there was no such policy in effect and that cashiers (at least at their store) were permitted to double coupons that read this since the store was taking the loss. My store took these today without incident. I think the best approach would be to ask your store what their take is. However, if there truly is a corporate policy in writing I’m not aware about, I would love to have that for the future!
