Vlog: freezer cooking with cod

In today's post, my husband Terry and I are going to show you what we did last week with five pounds of cod.

A couple notes:
1. You'll notice in the first recipe that my breadcrumbs don't stick to the fish well. You can remedy this by coating your fish lightly in olive oil (I later completed my recipe doing this – did just the thing!).
2. Terry got RAVE reviews on his fish burrito recipe from the fire crew!! I also wanted to point out that he loves good, quality ingredients. If you save in one area, you can afford to spend on others. Even still, all his ingredients were purchased at Winco, and he didn't do too bad at all!

UPDATE! You can get the recipes we used HERE.

Stay tuned for more vlogs! I hope to have one up at least every couple weeks. You can watch this and my earlier vlog over on YouTube, and you can follow me there too!

Awesome teamwork! You guys did such a great job-I’m so impressed with Terry’s willingness to jump right in. Any couple who can work in the kitchen together gets brownie points in my book. :) And what is the deal with firefighters moonlighting as chefs?

Angela,
I can’t wait to try this out. I was just telling my mom the other day that I want to find some meals to make ahead of time and freeze for later. Morry doesn’t eat fish, so I’m hoping this will also work with chicken. what do you think?

Congrats on the vlog. Can’t wait to see more.

Rachel, seeing how Terry sort of made this recipe up mixing two other recipes and then adding tortillas, I suppose one could certainly mix it up even further! LOL! I think chicken would be FANTASTIC!

Yummy! Thanks for sharing. So nice to see you “in person.” I’m feeling inspired to put some meals in the freezer. You’ve shown that a little planning now saves a lot of time & energy later. Thanks again!
