Filler Item Ideas

As a reminder, you MUST have at least as many items in your transaction as coupons – and this includes Register Rewards. If you are heading to checkout with 4 items, and have 4 coupons and a Register Reward, you'll encounter problems. To remedy, buy a small "filler item" to make your transaction process. Walgreens coupons do not count. There are many great options this week – the plastic tumblers top my list for best bets:

• Easter Candy $0.39 each with in-ad coupon (limit 6)
• Walgreens Soda 20 oz $0.39 each with in-ad coupon (limit 4)
• Comet Cleanser $0.50 each with in-ad coupon (limit 4)
• Corner Office supplies (legal pad, index cards) $0.33 each with in-ad coupon (limit 6)
• Miracle Bubbles $0.33 each with in-ad coupon (limit 6)
• Plastic Tumbler or Easter Gift Sacks $0.12 each with in-ad coupon (limit 16)
• Look for small food items such as the Royal Gelatin
• Look for a red Walgreens thermos for $0.49 – my store has had this item for weeks now in pharmacy on a shelf near the diabetic section
• Look for clearance items on an end-cap in your store's cosmetic department – this week I found select DVDs for just $0.50 each!!
