Some of you might be following my other blog, 26 Pounds 26 Miles. This blog is about my quest to lose my baby weight while training to run my 4th full-distance marathons (that's 26.2 miles, baby!). I finally selected and registered for the Portland Marathon on 10-10-10 (if anyone is doing this race, speak up!!).
I am happy to report that as of this morning, I'm down 17 pounds – I have less than 10 to go at this point to reach my goal! What's more, a few short months ago I was only able to run *maybe* 2 miles without stopping and it was at a 12+ minute pace. This past Saturday I ran 6 miles (and HILLY miles) without stopping and finished in just under 62 minutes! I'm really amazed how quickly one can improve their fitness with a little hard work and dedication.
If you've ever wondered about running a marathon or tackling a big fitness goal, I'm happy to tell you I'll be featured on 24/7 Moms Webcast tonight talking about just how to do that! I'll also be sharing how I've been able to workout from home and lose weight even while juggling two small kids and working from home.
24/7 Moms is so much fun…and it's completely free to participate. You can even chat live with other moms across the nation while the show is in progress. Moms that participate in the chat are also eligible to win some great giveaway prizes – and there are some awesome prizes tonight you won't want to miss! You might remember I was on the show several weeks ago talking about getting started with coupons. To watch that show, go HERE.
So if you've got some weight to lose and are lacking motivation, I hope you'll consider following me at 26 Pounds 26 Miles. No matter where you're at with your fitness, I hope you'll join me tonight over at 24/7 Moms!
