Freebie & hot deal roundup 5/2

I normally do a feature on Sundays called “Top 5″ deals. But today, I decided to do something a little different. There are SO many freebies and HOT deals right now, I decided to simply list them all out. YOU decide what are your favorites!

FREEBIES & MONEYMAKERS

Capri Sun (at Albertsons)
Tabasco Sauce (at Albertsons)
Post Raisin Bran Cereal (at Albertsons)
Cover Girl Cosmetics (at Rite Aid) UPDATED: the coupon needed to do this deal may be very regional; did you get it?
Carefree Pantiliners (at Rite Aid)
Nivea Body Wash for Women (at Rite Aid)
Nivea Body Wash for Women (at Target)
Profoot Products (at Rite Aid)
Nivea Men’s Body Wash (potentially; at Walgreens)
Scrubbing Bubbles Extend-a-Clean (at Target)

OTHER HOT DEALS

Trop50 for $0.50 (at Albertsons)
Welch’s 100% Grape Juice for $1 (at Albertsons)

U by Kotex for $1 each (at Walgreens)
Strawberries for $1.12/lb (at Fred Meyer)
Tillamook Shredded Cheese $1 (at Fred Meyer)
Emerald Valley Salsa or Hummus B1G1 (at Fred Meyer)
Amy’s Burritos B1G1 (at Fred Meyer)
Organic Soups for $1 (at Fred Meyer)

I hope this post will help you sort through the deals I’ve posted! Let me know if you prefer this format to the “Top 5 Deals” I’d been doing.

If you shop at other stores, you could make a similar list by reviewing bloggers’ post and forums. Then scrutinize the deals to determine which ones will be most beneficial for YOUR family. As for me? Well, I already did the Mission tortilla deal (I’m thinking of making some freezer burritos!). I’d also love to try that Scrubbing Bubbles cleaner. And deals on Amy’s like the one at Fred Meyer are unusual, so I might take advantage of that, too.

What deals will you be doing this week?

I really like this format! Its helpful to see them all lined up like this, and I can instantly see which deals I need to remember based on what stores I am hitting.

On a side note, can tortillas be frozen? I want to take advantage of the deal because we are big tortilla eaters but I’m not sure if we could use 6 packs before they went bad!

Yup! They can. I’m thinking about doing a Mission Tortillas: The Aftermath post for what to DO with all those tortillas!! ;)

Here is great recipe that uses tortillas! You could even use your $3 cat. on chicken and make this a super budget friendly meal! Albertsons has cilantro on sale for cheap, and I know we all stocked up on cream cheese last week!

I went to Albertson’s last night to use my 3 Caprisun coupons (plus the doubles) to score free juice pouches for my kids and I got a pleasant surprise . . . an unexpected catalina printed for 2 free Redbox codes.

It says buy any 3 Tombstone Pizzas OR Capri Sun 10 pack between 4/25 & 5/22 and get 2 free redbox one night movie rentals.

We love Redbox, so to get this on top of FREE juice was a treat!

Note: The Caprisun coupon did not come in my Tacoma Tribune but in the Seattle Times, I always buy both because the coupons are not equal (and the Times doesn’t have Red Plum). :-(
