Rite Aid deals 5/2 – 5/8

Lots going on at Rite Aid (as usual). First, you should note that there are NEW Rite Aid Video Values coupons available. It appears that there is both a $5-off-$25 purchase AND $5-off-$20 purchase coupon this month – AWESOME! In order to earn the coupons, you have to watch short product commercials. There are also new rebates available – view them HERE. And if you’re new to rebates, you might want to scroll to the bottom of this post for more information first.

I should also mention that Rite Aid has recently launched a new Wellness program. It seems to work like a Rewards Card. While I’ve not signed up for mine yet, I imagine I will. It’s free to join, and there’s even an application in this weekend’s ad. Every dollar you spend earns you one point. Earn enough points and you’ll receive some pretty awesome rewards. For instance, for every 125 points you earn, you’ll earn a 10% off shopping pass. Even better, once you’ve earned 1,000 points, you’ll earn 20% off non-prescription purchases through the end of the calendar year! While $1,000 might sound like a lot of money – if you’re an avid couponer you might just find you’re there before you know it. From what I understand, the Rewards program can be used in conjunction with all your Rite Aid and manufacturers’ coupons for even deeper discounts.

P&G Promotions

So this is interesting to me…in the Rite Aid ad, it reads that if you purchase $30 or more in P&G products at Rite Aid, you can submit for a $30 P&G coupon book. You’ll do this simply by entering your receipts into the Rite Aid rebate program – as you would any other rebate item. It’s Rite Aid rebate #4 if you want to check out the details.

But it gets better – in this weekend’s P&G coupon insert, there is a seemingly separate coupon booklet offer. Spend $100 on P&G products, and you can get a coupon savings booklet mailed to you with $50 of savings. There is a form in the insert. For this offer, you could buy your P&G products ANYWHERE. But it seems to me you might be able to work a nice double-dip if you did some planning – especially since your products do NOT have to be purchased all in one transaction.

In my experience, the amount is pre-coupon and pre-rebate. For instance – let’s say your subtotal at the register is $30, but then use $10 in coupons and submit for $10 in Rite Aid rebates – you’d still qualify. If you are already planning on purchasing P&G items, I recommend submitting for these booklets. I received one for 2009 and it was chalk full of great, high-value coupons.

About Rite Aid Rebates

If you’ve never used Rite Aid’s rebate program before…it’s super easy! All you need to do is signup for an online account HERE. As you buy items throughout the monthly rebate cycle, just log on and enter in the information prompted from your receipt. No need to collect those receipts and mail in. There is something very important to note: you may only submit for your rebate check ONCE per cycle. So enter in your information, but only submit once you’re sure you’re done buying rebate items for the month. When your check arrives, it will look like a little postcard. You can use it as a gift certificate for your next Rite Aid purchases or do what I do, just deposit it at your bank.

Hi Angela,
I live in Buffalo NY, where we have had the Rite Aid Wellness program for a while now. (We were one of the test markets). You need to have the card to get the advertised sales price, so definitely sign up! You also get great rite aid wellness coupons to stack with your manufacturers coupons both online and at the bottom of your receipts. This program has made Rite Aid my favorite place to get deals. I was always a CVS girl before. :)

I’m having a hard time locating a BOGO CoverGirl coupon! Are you sure that you got one in the 4-11 RedPlum? If you tell me yes, I’ll keep searching! Thanks!

Again, some coupons may be regional. I didn’t end up getting the 4/11 paper…long story…so I can’t confirm if it’s in my paper or not. According to the Hot Coupon World database, at least some areas should’ve received a B1G1 coupon. According to the database, some areas may have additionally received a $1/1 and $2.50/2 Covergirl coupon in their 5/2 P&G insert today. Again, mine didn’t!

Mine didn’t have either of those CoverGirl coupons… it seems like those ones are few & far between… & I grabbed a TNT, a Seattle Times & a FW paper…

Hmmmm. I’m going to make an adjustment to my Rite Aid post right now. Unfortunately, I didn’t get a paper that week, so I was going off HCW’s database. If anyone got this coupon, can you kindly let us know what region you’re from?

I got the cover girl bogo coupon in Kentucky, but since I get inserts from my MIL, I don’t know if it came from Lexington or Louisvile!

Just to clarify, my rebate form reads “purchase $50 in product, receive $100 in coupon savings”. Is there a different form?
