This Saturday, May 8th, the post office is asking for YOUR help to “Stamp out Hunger!”
Here’s how you can get involved. On May 8th, set out a bag of groceries next to your mailbox. Your letter carrier will pick up the donation to deliver it to local pantries and shelters.
I know all my couponers out there know how to find a deal and maybe even have some stockpile items you know you’re not going to be needing. Let’s help out and give couponers everywhere a good name! Go HERE for more information.
If you’re in the Tacoma area and would like to pitch in, there is some volunteer work that you could do! Volunteers should arrive at First Christian Church (602 North Orchard Street, Tacoma) between 1 and 5 pm on Saturday to help process the deliveries. Stay for all four hours, or drop in as you’re able. It sounds like they’ll be rewarding volunteers with some BBQ and good old-fashioned fun! If you’re interested in participating, you will need to RSVP to info at project-u dot org.
Please go HERE for more information on how you can volunteer.
Thanks, Caitlin!

Thanks for posting this! I’ll do my best to send a photo of how much non-perishable items I’m able to purchase for $25 (using coupons!) to include in the Food Drive! (though I’m sure I’ll spend more than that!)
Thanks for reminding me about this, I’ll need to remember to go through my cabinets tonight.
I confirmed with the Pierce County food bank it is ok to donate personal care items as well.
THANK YOU!!
