I have a particularly amazing reader shop to share with you today.
Jessica tells me she bought the following at Rite Aid over 2 days and 6 transactions:

Guess how much ALL of this cost her? Try $1.08 out of pocket!! Yes, you read that right! And that includes the diapers and batteries…everything.
EDITED: I went back to Jessica’s email and it appears the $1.08 is AFTER rebates and UP Rewards.
The tax alone should’ve cost her over $11.
Way to go, Jessica!
I think this illustrates that it is entirely possible to stockpile without breaking the bank.
See what’s on sale at Rite Aid this week for yourself.

Good deal, however, I don’t understand how her out of pocket expense could only be $1.08. Did she pay with a gift card? Tax alone is a chunk of change where I live 9%. What happened to the tax, supposedly $11+? Anyway, way to shop and use them coupons!
I honestly don’t know. Jessica???
Great shop! I also went & bought my “free” M&Ms yesterday. That’s the “sweet” side of couponing! A little reward for all the effort. I intend to go back to get the batteries with the $5/$20 coupon.
Sorry for the confusion. I meant that in the end, after all rebates and up rewards, my cost was $1.08. All the overage that I should have had was eaten up by that darn tax.
I am having the best time at Rite Aid this week. I have gotten 2 boxes of diapers Free! Partly because I saved some of my UP+ Rewards from last week.
Great JOB!
sweet deal!
I had the worst time at Rite Aid in Albany, Oregon over the weekend. The cashier wouldn’t let me use my $3 UP reward from last weeks Pantene deal on my John Freida shampoo purchase. She said that corporate said they were changing the program and that i could only use the UP reward to buy more pantene. I haven’t heard anyone else having a problem using the UP rewards so I think the cashier was just misinformed.
I want to let you and everyone else reading this know that I have a contact at Rite Aid that is in the process of getting me some answers about this program. (In fact I just bugged him again tonight…and I know he’s working on this.)
I’ve been reading everyone’s concerns and questions and jotting them down. Believe me, I want to share some of these very concerns.
I sincerely hope to get some answers soon. In my opinion the program was launched prematurely, and I hope they’ll get some clarity shortly. I’m sorry you had such a poor experience.
I bought batteries at Rite Aid today, but I didn’t get the 2$ UP rewards. Did this happen to anybody else???
