If you live in the Federal Way/North Tacoma area, you’ll want to keep your eyes out for the Hometown Values Magazine due to hit your mailbox!
Perhaps you’ve seen this before – this magazine contains lots of great coupons for local businesses, restaurants, services, and more. The magazine mails out once a quarter and would be a good one to keep on hand in your car, or just cut out the coupons and file them in your coupon binder or organizer to have ready.
I’ve been told one of the coupons due out in the magazine is a $5-off-$25 purchase at Grocery Outlet!
Whether you live in the Federal Way area or not, you can head to the Hometown Values website to print off coupons to use, too. According to their map, Hometown Values currently offers coupon magazines in neighborhoods in Washington, Idaho, Nebraska, Illinois, Ohio, Pennsylvania, Tennessee, and Alabama. And if you do live in the Federal Way area, you might want to also “like” Hometown Values on Facebook to stay apprised of their happenings.
Finally, I’m pleased to offer a button to the Hometown Values site on my blog – you’ll find it in my sidebar at right. Click on it any time to view and print coupons you can use in your neighborhood!

Angela,
Do you ever shop at WINCO groceries? They only take cash or debit cards, but my wife assures me that they consistently have the best prices on groceries. We also shop at Costco (almost exclusively) because we get a percentage of our purchase price refunded once each year and Costco has coupons for additional savings. If you can get a membership, and do most of your shopping there, you’ll find that you realize greater savings. The downside to Costco is that you’re always buying in bulk (two or more items at a time), but with my family that has never been a problem. We’re big eaters.
It’s something worth considering anyway.
We do get ValuPak coupons and our local paper The Mirror runs ads for our local stores and includes coupons. My wife checks them, but often finds she can get a consistently better deal at WINCO and Costco.
Good luck,
Harry
No, I don’t believe I get greater savings at Costco. Case in point: early Feb, I got 4 months supply of oatmeal for FREE at Albertsons after sales and coupons. I just bought Huggies diapers at Rite Aid for $0.07/diaper vs. Costco’s pricier $0.20/diaper. I made a profit on buying Kraft cheese at Fred Meyer a couple months ago. There might be some select deals at Costco, but in general, no, I don’t think you’d save more by shopping there and I’ve never heard of being able to get anything there for free after sales and coupons.
Winco: yes. I do LOVE Winco and will mention it from time to time on my site. I LOVE shopping their bin items for basics like flour, spices, and snacks in the absence of a sales.
Start following my site and let me challenge you to see if you can’t save more by shopping with coupons and sales. Again, the key is stacking coupons WITH sales and/or rebates. You can almost ALWAYS find freebies every week by playing your cards (ummm….coupons!) right. Thanks for dropping by!!
