Reader Sarah shared today’s trip to Albertsons with me via email just now:
My trip to albertsons just to grab milk turned in to much more! I was out of yogurt so I decided to use two $1.50/1 coupons I have been hanging on to (from a cat print out) for the Gerber yogurt blends. That made them $1.19 each…but SURPRISE! A $2 ONYO printed at checkout! Don’t know if it was just buying one, or two that triggered it…but one of them had a “try me free” rebate peelie, making it a $2.31 money maker!
This is an interesting one, Sarah. I wasn’t aware of any Gerber Catalina and struggled to find it mentioned on any blog. A Google search led me to CouponNerdz‘ Kroger Gerber Catalina, but the values they mention don’t seem to be consistent with the OYNO coupon you received. Plus that, Albertsons isn’t a Kroger affiliate. Hmmm.
Sarah also assured me she purchased NO other Gerber in this transaction.
That being said, if others are game to try this one out at their own risk, here’s what I’d do…
Buy (2) Gerber Yogurt Blends @ $2.69 each
Receive a $2 off-your-next-order Catalina coupon at checkout
Submit for the try-me-free rebate (look on select packages)
Bottom line: $0.35 each after Catalina and rebate!
Any guinea pigs out there? Let us know if it triggers for you, too!
