If you follow additional local blogs (as you should!), you may have noticed they’ve been posting up a storm about a pretty awesome Amazon diapers deal. Well, today a Facebook update from Frugal Living NW caught my eye, and I had to give this deal a try myself. I’m so glad I did! (And I’m even more glad I hadn’t redeemed any of my coupons until today!)
Here’s what I was able to do just a few short minutes ago:
Here’s how I worked this AWESOME diaper stock-up deal.
First, head to Amazon. They’re having a special on select diapers – when you sign up for their “Save and Subscribe
” program you’ll save 30% off! Please note you can cancel this anytime after your first order ships.
Next, you’re going to need any/all the following orange coupons found in the following magazines:
::August Parents Magazine (coupon code starts with “A”)
::August Parenting Magazine (coupon code starts with “X”)
::September Parents Magazine (coupon code starts with “W”)
For some reason, I’ve been getting Parents for months now. I’ve never paid for this subscription, so who knows why I get it. But the good news for me? I had not one – but TWO coupon codes (one from August and one from September). And since they started with different letters, guess what? Yes, I was able to use BOTH coupon codes in my transaction above! And if you had all three unique codes, you should be able to stack all three!
UPDATE: As reader Sarah sagely pointed out in her comment below, the fine print on these coupons reads “one per customer.” I can confirm this is indeed what the fine print reads and I’m sorry I didn’t catch this glaring oversight before posting! So unfortunately this is a “do as I say and not as I did” scenario. If you have more than one coupon code? Please consider sharing the love. Leave a comment if you have one you won’t use and an email address where someone could contact you (please DO NOT post the code itself in the comments). I’m in the process of appeasing the Amazon gods for my error. Thank you Sarah for holding me and this site accountable. Everyone else? This is still a deal you should consider with a single 20% off code!
My advice if you don’t have any of these coupons? Ask around to see if anyone you know got the magazines and if they’d use the coupon. Or maybe call your local pediatrician’s office to see if they have it sitting in their waiting room. Or head to the store and BUY a September issue if you don’t get this magazine. Make sure it has the orange coupon inserted in the middle – it sounds like some “nice” people may be ripping them out without buying the magazine. Head over to Frugal Living NW to see what you’re looking for.
Even better, you will get FREE shipping when you use these coupon codes! Seriously, could this deal get any better?
For me, yes it can. A lot better. See I do this little thing called Swagbucks. I earn bucks simply by going my everyday web searches and by referring new folks (just like you!). I have then redeemed these for $5 Amazon gift certificates. I’ve been doing this for over a year now and I have a pretty nice Amazon account. So today when this deal popped up? I redeemed some of that credit and paid exactly NOTHING out of pocket! Get started with Swagbucks friends…NOW!!

This is my $0.02. I really thought about this deal as I can always use diapers. The Amazon coupons say “Only one coupon may be redeemed per customer.” Just because the system lets you do it doesn’t mean you should. Just wanted people to think about the ethics of this deal.
I’m glad you caught this, Sarah!! I honestly did NOT catch it and had I, I wouldn’t have done this deal nor would I have posted it the way I did. That being said, even a 20% off code on top of this deal is pretty darn sweet and worth considering!
Thank you.
No worries! We all know that ethical coupon usage is your M.O. and you would never intentionally lead us to use our coupons in a dishonest way. Keep up the great work! Love your site
…and THAT is my $0.02.
I appreciate your vote of confidence.
I placed an order last month using my code and just got an email this morning that my diaper purchase qualified me for a free 3 month trial of Amazon Prime. I don’t know that it’ll happen for everyone (or anyone) else, but it was a fun surprise!
Maygan, that’s awesome!! Thanks for the heads-up. Does it go into effect immediately, or can you choose when to activate it? Because if given the choice, I’d activate it as we approach the holidays.
Went to my local Monroe Albertson’s to buy the Parents Magazine. Get this, all the had was the April issue. April? Really. I will have to try Safeway or Fred Meyer and see if they have the latest issues.
April – really?! WOW!
Hmmm. Another thought I have for you – a bookstore. I’m thinking a large bookstore such as Borders or Barnes and Noble might be an option worth considering. Perhaps you could call ahead? Good luck.
Totally random question:
I use swagbucks too, and I’ve been wondering how the $5 Amazon codes work out. Can you use more than one on a single Amazon purchase? Any details you have would be greatly appreciated.
Yes! So here’s how it works. When you redeem your Swagbucks for a $5 Amazon credit, they will notify you when your gift certificate has been redeemed. You then can log onto your Swagbucks account and go under “My Gift Cards” to see the new codes. From there, I copy and paste these into my Amazon account. I log onto my Amazon account, and there is a place to enter a gift certificate. They will apply this to your Amazon account. You can enter them one at a time. I think it would be easiest to have the credit added to your account first, and then go in and shop. When you checkout, you will be given the option to use your Amazon credit towards the purchase. Does that all make sense?
Thanks, I’ve just been stockpiling my swagbucks as I’ve been a little uncertain what to do with them. Now I’m going to give it a try on Amazon.
Swagbucks is asking for a swag code. Is that what refers it back to you? If so, want to email it to so you get credit.
