Do you end up going to the movies once or twice a month as a special treat? Or would you go, if the prices were more affordable?
If so…I’ve been hearing about a program lately that I thought I’d share with you. It’s called Weekly Cinema and the way it works is fairly simple. Each month, you pay $19.99. This will get you four tickets plus a bonus free fifth ticket to use every month. You can then redeem these via Fandango for the movie(s) of your choice. Over 16,000 theaters nationwide currently accept Fandango, which means there’s likely to be one in your neck of the woods.
According to the FAQ, each of the tickets you buy through Weekly Cinema can be redeemed for Fandango tickets valued up to $14 apiece! Five tickets at $14 apiece is $70…so if you normally spend this kind of money at the movie theater, you might want to check out this program.
You can cancel your membership at any time with no cancellation fees, and the contact information to do was readily available on the site.
I actually just signed up myself this morning. We rarely to never go to the movies in my household, and I’m thinking this might be a good way to enjoy a special night out for cheap. There was a $0.15 fee for the first free ticket, and it looks like I’ll see the $19.99 charge for the first set of four tickets on Monday. Then they’ll be available in my account to redeem through Fandango. Seemed pretty straightforward to me.
Are any of you currently using Weekly Cinema? What has your experience been?

I am currently using Weekly Cinema and love it. Easily purchased the tickets through Fandango, and printed off my tickets like I normally would do, just now much cheaper. It’s a great deal!
do the tickets have to be used each month? Or can you hold on to them for a bit?
I purchased tickets through Groupon for weeklycinema.com and so far for the past week the server has be down and I’ve been unable to get access to my tickets.. Starting to feel like this is a scam!
Thanks for bringing this to my attention!! I have tickets with them through, that I bought directly. Have you tried contacting Groupon? I believe you should have some recourse with Groupon if you’re having problems.
I had a second thought for you just now, Sasha. Try leaving a message on their FB wall! http://www.facebook.com/Weekly-Cinema
BTW, I was able to access the website just now, and login to my Weekly Cinema account, though I’ve not tried redeeming tickets yet.
