See all those kids’ clothes pictured at left? I bought the lot for under $10 (including tax!). HOW, you ask? I bought them a few months ago at Kidz Kaboodle during one of their monthly 25-cent sales. These sales run the last Friday and Saturday of the month. Which means this Friday and Saturday, you’ll have the chance to score some great deals yourself!
Here’s the scoop:
The last Friday and Saturday of each month, this little 6th Avenue store in Tacoma reserves a space next door to their store to discount TONS of baby and children’s clothing on sale for just 25-cents. Everything – and I do mean EVERYTHING – will be just 25 cents. You’ll find clothes, shoes, toys, and if you get there right when the door opens and are willing to push other shoppers out of the way, it’s possible to score a bicycle, stroller, or playpen. (I kid, it’s never OK to hit someone in a store.)
This sale is crazy. Prepare to go on a roller coaster ride of emotions ranging from bliss, annoyance, semi-panic, euphoria, and confusion. But if you get there early, you might just make out like a bandit like my friend Susan. I have a hunch that this month’s sale could be uber-crazy since we are so close to back to school.

Have you shopped this sale? Any tips or advice you’d like to share?

I love thrift store shopping.
Anything that can get thrown in a washing machine suits me fine! I never want to be one of those moms freaking out about my kids getting dirty!
One question: How big do the sizes go? I mainly need things for my 7 year old these days, as little brother is naturally in line for his hand me downs.
You’ll find there are definitely more things for the littlest ones and babies; however, if you are willing to hunt, you should find some bigger sizes too. I’d say up through boys & girls sizes (just before juniors & young mens).
Thanks, Angela!
I’ll definitely give it a try.
The hunt is part of the fun, right?
