September 2010

This offer is going to expire in just a few hours, but I thought it was worth sharing!

Today only on Groupon, you can score a $20 voucher for Soap.com for just $10!! If my Groupon link doesn’t take you directly to the offer, just set the city to “Los Angeles.”

Fine print stuff:

:: Limit 1 per household
:: 1-2 shipping IS included!
:: Expires December 31, 2010.
:: You can’t use it for their sister site, Diapers.com.

Soap.com offers hundreds of brands of household items and this would be a great way to stock up particularly on those products that may be more difficult to find coupon deals on. This Beautiful Frugal Life has an idea of how you could use this voucher to stock up on cheap toilet paper. I just snagged this Groupon for myself and think that’s exactly how I’ll be using mine!

Looks like a fairly sizeable SmartSource and a Red Plum will be coming this Sunday.

Here are a few of the coupons that caught my eye from the full preview:

Fleischmann’s Yeast $0.40/1
Hunt’s Canned Tomatoes $1/3
Luden’s Cough Drops $1/2
Mentos Sugarfree Gum $1/1 (should be free!)
Neutrogena Face Makeup $2/1
Ronzoni Quick Cook Pasta $1/1
Schick Hydro Razor $4/1
Schick Hydro Shave Gel $1/1
Tom’s of Maine products (assorted) $1/1
Wolfgang Puck Organic Soup $0.75/1
Crisco Olive Oil $1/1
Nestle Cookie Dough $1/1
Skippy Peanut Butter $0.75/2

As a reminder, coupons will vary in their selection and values from region to region. So take the coupon preview with a grain of salt.

Don’t forget you can still take advantage of the awesome News Tribune newspaper deal! Here’s how it works. Pay just $1 a copy for the Sunday paper when you buy between 3-6 copies. That’s half off of the newsstand price AND no driving involved! You can pre-pay for 6 months, OR get on a monthly E-Z Pay schedule if that’s more convenient for you.

This offer is also good for the Olympian, but I recently learned that the Olympian just doesn’t offer the selection the News Tribune does. (So, you’ve been warned.) For the full scoop on this offer, please go HEREWhen call for your subscription, say you want the Sunday paper deal you saw on The Coupon Project!

Through tomorrow only (10/1) at Walgreens photo, you can score a free 8X10 collage print when you use coupon code FBColl at checkout! Have it sent to your local Walgreens and you won’t have to pay for shipping, either.

I did one of these for Mother’s Day and it turned out beautiful! I framed it and it made a great gift!

Thanks, Moms Need to Know!

Restaurant.com Weekly Promo Offer 300 x 250

I think maybe in the course of a year maybe once – twice at most – seen Restaurant.com offer a 90% discount on their $25 gift certificates!

Guess what? Today only – you can score $25 gift certificates good towards local restaurants for just $1 each!

Here is what you need to do:

:: Start by entering your zip code to find local participating restaurants.
:: The $25 gift certificates will be $10 each as you place them in your shopping cart.
:: At checkout, enter coupon code WOW and the price drops by 90% – just $1 per certificate!
:: You will be able to print & use your gift certificates right away. I believe you will have up to a year to use these.

Think of these as a great coupon.

If you’ve never used Restaurant.com, it’s important to understand that there are restrictions you will need to follow. Most notably, you must redeem a $25 gift certificate on an order of at least $35. This excludes alcoholic beverages, tax, and tip. A tip of 18% will automatically be added to a bill where a Restaurant.com gift certificate is redeemed. You can learn more about how these work by reading this post.

If you consider them more as great coupons – almost akin to a Groupon – and less as “gift cards,” I think your overall experience will be positive. Here’s how the math could potentially break down:

Spend $35 at a participating restaurant
Less $25 gift certificate (cost to you: $1)
Add$6.30 gratuity
Bottom line: $17.30 total ($24 saved)

Remember, you have TODAY ONLY to take advantage of this great offer!  Go HERE to get started.

DIY: hair transplant (just for fun)

September 29, 2010

My mom is a YouTube fantatic. She’s always finding random gems, such as this one. It just goes to show you can save money on virtually everything if you put your mind to it. (Warning: there is a quick comment made about body hair that some find objectionable if watching with children.)
