Did you know that if you are a Tacoma resident, you can get a FREE entry to the Point Defiance Zoo & Acquarium this Saturday (1/29)?
In fact, once a month the zoo has a “Tacoma Free Day.” Here are a few more dates:
February 17 – Thursday
March 9 – Wednesday
April 13 – Wednesday
For more dates, check out the Point Defiance Zoo calendar. To get free entry, you will need a driver’s license or photo ID AND utility bill with your address on it. For more information, please refer to the Point Defiance website.

The Children’s Museum. Entry fees are waived on the first Friday and 25th of each month through 2011. Starting in 2012, entrance fees will be waived for five years due to generous gift from Key Bank. For more information, see The Children’s Museum.
Tacoma Winter Farmer’s Market. The second Saturday of each month through winter, you can attend the Farmer’s Market at Proctor. The next one will be on February. For more details, head here. (Thanks, Sounds Fun Mom!)

You only need a utility bill if your photo id does not have a physical Tacoma address (not PO Box).
Thanks, Sarah! In re-reading the website it says Drivers license OR photo ID plus utility bill.
This may be a dumb question but…it has to be Tacoma? Not Spanaway or Puyallup?
So far as I know it must be a Tacoma address. If you call and find out differently, let us know.
