My trip to Fred Meyer: FREE watermelon, $0.33 SunDrop, $0.50 Countrytime, cheap Gardening Stakes, more!

I just got back from Fred Meyer and wanted to share some of the deals I found with you!

This was how I worked the “Buy 10, save $4 promotion:”

(6) Goldfish Crackers $0.99 each*
(4) Cheerios $1.99 each*
Used (2) $1/2 Cheerios coupons from 5/6 SmartSource
Bottom line: $11.90 for everything

*This is part of a mix & match sale. You have to buy 10 participating items to save $4 instantly and get the cheaper price. More items at my Fred Meyer post this week.

SunDrop 2 Liter $1.33
$1/1 coupon from 5/6 SmartSource
Bottom line: $0.33
(This is currently priced at $1.29 right now at QFC.)

Personal Watermelon $2
Used $2 off produce Rewards coupon*
Bottom line: FREE
(Pineapples are also $2 this week and would be a good choice for the coupon!)

* You must sign up for Fred Meyer Rewards and use your card to earn and receive coupons like these.

Snapware (starts at $1.69) – these were $2.99
$2/1 coupon from 4/29 SmartSource
Bottom line: as low as FREE (I paid $0.99 each)

I was surprised to find there were quite a few on the shelves! I now have enough Snapware, so I left my last $2/1 coupon on the shelf for some lucky shopper.

I reported these deals earlier, and they worked fine.

Kraft Barbecue Sauce
$0.88 each with in-store coupon (found in Extra Savings Booklet and on store shelves – limit 2)
Stack with $1/2 coupon from 5/6 SmartSource
Bottom line: $0.38 each

CountryTime Lemonade $1 (through 5/12)
$1/2 coupon from 5/6 SmartSource
Bottom line: $0.50 each

Stock on the Countrytime was better at my Fred Meyer today than my QFC last night.  The CountryTime is also $1 there, though it’s not in the ad.

Starbucks Refreshers $2.09
FREE coupon from 4/29 Moments to Save insert (exp 5/15 – use ‘em or lose ‘em, baby!)
Bottom line: ALL FREE

Here’s a final view of today’s finds, complete with the posing princess. Notice she gets good mileage out of her holiday dresses. That was her Christmas dress from last year.

OH! And I just wanted to highlight this awesome discovery I made last week back in the gardening section….

I’m pretty much in love with these bamboo gardening stakes! The smaller ones are only $1.38 each (the larger ones, a little over $3). I used them last week to trellis my raspberries:

The ones I bought today I plan to construct some simple teepee style trellises for growing miniature cucumbers and pole beans. I got the idea last night while poking around the Internet. I “pinned” some of what I found on my Garden Inspiration Board on Pinterest in case anyone’s interested to see what I came up with.

PS – Don’t forget to check out my Fred Meyer deal post for the week to see what else is on sale! And then, make sure to drop by and enter for your chance to win a $25 Fred Meyer Gift Card this week!

I love your dancing princess. I can’t wait till mine is old enough. Even though I am certainly enjoying her now.

Happy to put a smile on your face! ;)
I figure there are enough things I tell my kids “no” to – it’s nice to say yes to a few things that aren’t essential, don’t you think? Sounds like our daughters are very similar dressers!

In which section did you find the SB Refreshers? I looked last week and couldn’t find them :(

I would like to know too! I couldn’t find them at my store today either.

I meant to include this in my post. Look for them where they keep the refrigerated beverages (like where you’d grab a soda or SoBe, or chilled energy drink, etc.) – in my store this is somewhere between the produce & deli sections.

I have a question about FM rewards coupons. I have their Rewards card for several years now and never got any coupons. Do I need to specifically sign up for them???????

dropofrain,
Have you ever earned 500 or more points in 1 quarter?
At the bottom of your receipt it shows a running total (similar to the gas rewards) of how many points your have. When you earn over 500 points you will receive a rebate card and extra coupons in the mail. The produce coupon that Angela used was included in the most recent mailing.
