Crocktober: $5 Rebate on Select Crockpots on Amazon

There’s something about fall that screams, “pull out the crockpot!” isn’t there? If you’re in need of a new crockpot, you might want to consider a rebate running right now at Amazon: buy ANY Crock-Pot Slow Cooker priced $24.50 or higher thru 11/30 and get a $5 mail in rebate.

Here are just a couple ideas that stood out to me as part of the Crocktober Promotion:

This Crock-Pot Cook’ N Carry 6-Quart Oval Manual Portable Slow Cooker in Stainless Steel was $39.99, now on sale for $34.92 (and would ship for free). After the $5 mail-in-rebate, your price drops to $29.42. This particular model has very good reviews and is perfect for traveling as there are clamps to keep the lid in place. Perfect for potlucking!

Here’s one that’s just plain cute:

This Crock Pot 4-1/2-Quart Slow Cooker in Black Demask Pattern is priced at $29.24. After the $5 mail-in-rebate the price drops to $24.24. I think this one would make an adorable holiday gift!

For more ideas, see all the Crock Pots. Just remember they’d need to be priced $24.50 to be eligible for this rebate. The rebate offer expires 11.30!

Thanks, Mission to Save!

PS want to see one of my favorite things to make in my slow cooker? It’s homemade vegetable stock! Cheap, easy, healthy – and it will save you money from having to buy cartons or cans of stock!

PSS what’s your favorite recipe to make in a slow cooker? Feel free to leave a recipe and/or link in the comments below!

Easy Crock Pot Recipes – Italian Chicken Pasta Soup
Ingredients {adapted from Betty Crocker}
1 pound boneless, skinless chicken breasts {I used frozen}
1 medium carrot, chopped
1 medium onion, chopped
1/2 cup pitted ripe olives, cut in half
2 cloves garlic, minced
48 ounces chicken broth
2 cups tomatoes, chopped
1/2 cup uncooked small shell pasta { I used mini bow tie pasta}
1 teaspoon Italian seasonings {I used McCormick’s blend}
salt and pepper to taste
Directions
Place all of the ingredients in a large crock pot, stir, cover, and cook on the low setting for 8 hours or on the high setting for 4 hours. About 20 minutes before serving the soup, use two forks to shred the chicken in the crock pot. Add pasta, stir and continue to cook in the crock pot for 20 minutes or until the pasta is tender {be careful not to overcook it}. Ladle soup in to bowls and serve.
