Fred Meyer Coupon Policy Change: No Longer Accepting Competitor $-off Catalinas

The folks at Fred Meyer informed me that a change to their coupon policy has gone into effect regarding their acceptance of Catalina coupons you may receive at checkout from other stores:

Most Catalina coupons (the coupons that print out for you at check stands) are manufacturer’s coupons and are stated as such. Catalina coupons that are printed with another retailer’s name may be accepted at Fred Meyer. These competitors’ coupons for dollar/cents off a specific item will be accepted. Dollar or percent off coupons for an entire shopping order will not be accepted. Note: This only applies to Catalina coupons and not to other manufacturer’s coupons that are designated as valid for use at a specified retailer.

They made this change to be consistent with how their competitors accept similar coupons. Please note that you can still use Catalina manufacturer coupons printed at other stores good for specific products.

You might want to print the revised Fred Meyer Coupon Policy for your records. Please let me know if you have questions or need further clarification.

My Fred Meyer hasn’t been accepting Walgreens RR for about a month now :)

Wow I didn’t even know they took them. I’ve always spent my catalinas the the stores I got them from.

I don’t understand this. Your post above includes a coupon policy that is dated a year ago.

My store took them for awhile and then about 1 1/2 or so months ago the manager told me that their new coupon policy does not allow them. :(

That’s really unfortunate. I counted on those Register Rewards for a lot of fresh veggies/fruit :(
