This is one of those clearance sales I hesitate telling you because it’s clear I got in at the end of it! However, it may be of benefit to some of you, and may be one of those things if nothing else you watch for next year.
I read a HOT tip today that canning jars and supplies might be on sale at Lowe’s. I decided to take a peek, and here’s what I found in the kitchen/cabinet section:
Not gonna lie folks – I did take the last two sets of jars. Would you believe the quart-size were just $4.69?! The quilted half-pints were $4.49. Above is my haul which was $25 (including tax).
I did leave TONS of accessories, and they were all 50% off – I found citric acid, salsa mix, the dissolveable labels I keep talking about, freezer containers, and the intro to Ball Preserving Cookbook was just $2.99 (there was a whole stack of them).
The employee I spoke with sounded like they were getting ready to put the rest of these items away so I would NOT wait around if you’re interested.
Also, nearly ALL the plants and trees were 50% off at my store! I found fruit trees, potted lavender plants, all kinds of things. Apparently they’re looking to move this out to make way for seasonal items, so you might want to check that out as well.
Thanks, Canning Granny!

Thanks for the tip Angela! I went to Lowes.com and got some canning goodies. I used the MyLowes $10 coupon to help with the total out of pocket.
SMART IDEA!! Why didn’t I think to look online?
THanks for sharing!
Ditto! I ordered some of the labels for in store pick-up. They still had some jars and other supplies, but nothing I was interested in… at this point I stick to standard, wide mouth pint jars, and I didn’t see those on sale. Thanks for the tip Angela!
WalMart will price match!!! Print out the coupon and bring it in with you!!!!
