I have been suggesting for awhile now that perhaps the best holiday clearance sales are not at the stores you’d expect. Case in point – $0.30 bags of bows and wrapping paper at QFC last week. Some of you might also recall the craziest canning clearance I found at Lowe’s back in the fall.
I had a gift card to burn at Barnes & Noble, so off we went today. Check out what I found while there….
Yes – that would be stacks and stacks of Elf on the Shelf with the red 50% off sticker! If these are normally $29.95, that’d drop your price to just $14.97. Not bad at all, considering the best “deal” I noted during the holidays was maybe $25.
I also found many toys, books, and Christmas cards at 50%. This was the Federal Way store – selection at your store may vary. You may wish to phone ahead to see if they have any Christmas clearance before venturing out.
Is anyone else finding Christmas clearance this late in the game? If so – where and what are you finding?
PS if you’re looking for Elf on the Shelf ideas for next year, I’ve got a month’s worth of terrible ones.

Yeah…I bought Elf on the Shelf there yesterday! I couldn’t believe how many they had at the Southcenter store…and all for 50% off! (I also snagged an Entertainment Book for 50% off too!)
Thanks for confirming a second location!
Nice on the Entertainment Book!
I actually a found a “girl” Elf on the Shelf book and doll set at Target during their after Christmas 90% sale. I got it for like $3.99. I couldn’t believe it!
WOW – yes, that would definitely top yesterday’s B&N find! NICE score!
