Lately I’ve been thinking…it’s time to get me some new clothes. You know when you start pulling for the jeans/t-shirt combo one too many times, or feeling like you’re kids are starting to look a little too much cuter than you are?
I noticed Fred Meyer was having a clearance sale on apparel this week and just had to check it out. 60% off the lowest marked price, baby! OK, so this may be a little personal, but I’m taking you into the dressing room with me. What do you think?
This dress is a bit of a bold pattern, I know – but I just love it! It was $60, but marked down to $44.99, and then marked down to $29.97. The 60% was off the $29.97 price – so I paid just $11.99! Even better, it came with the belt. SCORE!
Same bit. This dress was $60 and marked down and down and I paid $11.99! I love the color! I’m thinking I could pair it with leggings and either boots and a cardigan in the fall or ballet flats in the spring and maybe a funky necklace. Thoughts?
OK and Piper wanted to do a little shopping too…
The clearance was in all departments – men, women’s and children. We didn’t see anything that struck Piper’s fancy in clearance, but she did find this one section…
Don’t write off the non-clearance sections at Fred Meyer! You can often find deep discounts. We found this section of dress & legging sets in girls’ for 50% off. The benefit of it not being clearance is you can use the 15% off apparel & accessories coupon found in this week’s ad!
Here’s what Piper found…
OK, who taught my 4-year old to duck face?
Her outfit was 50% off $38, so $18. Plus, there was a 15% off coupon I could use, so we paid $15.30 for the outfit.
I also found a couple other pieces I wanted to show you…
This lacy lavender short-sleeved cardigan was $11.99 after clearance. The cool thing about the clearance is all the items I found that would be perfect for spring or year-round wearing!
I also snagged this cute necklace to go with my new pieces:
Yes, this was on clearance too! Would you believe this was $5.99?
All told I spent $41.96 + tax for two dresses, the necklace, and the cardigan. I’d say that’s a pretty good bargain for the quality and cuteness of the pieces I walked away with. I really feel more people should give Fred Meyer’s apparel department a go if they are looking for cute looks for less. There is almost always something on sale, almost always a 10-20% off coupon you can use, and almost always something on clearance!
Make sure to use your Fred Meyer Rewards card to earn a rebate on your purchase, too.
If you missed it, last year I had the opportunity to team with Fred Meyer on a special Frumpy to Fabulous Makeover Promotion last summer. If you would like more tips about shopping Fred Meyer’s apparel (as well as watching me and a bunch of readers having a great time!), please head to the Frumpy to Fabulous Makeover post.

Where did you find your daughter’s princess socks? My daughter was given some & LOVES them. I need to find more.
Oh man…I almost forgot, so I had to ask her. Famous Footwear! The best part is I don’t even try to match them anymore. Actually I think she prefers having Ariel on one foot and Belle on the other anyhow. Kind of like they are princess friends.
Adorable outfits! I got some good coupons with my rebate this week, so between that and your pictures I’m inspired to go do a little shopping, too
.
Awesome! Now I’m thinking I should have checked my mailbox before I left!
OR I could just see it as an opportunity to make a second trip….
Cute dresses!
Thank you!! Not bad to snag both of them for under $25!
Great score Angela….they look great on you too!
I shopped last week when things were 40% off but ended up putting a a few things back. When I saw the 60%, I headed back and got the few items I didn’t the first time! Score! I always shop the Fred Meyer clothes for my kids, it’s too convenient and they always have coupons!
Maybe I need to take a few moments for myself as I really think the blue dress is really cute! It looks really good on you and would be perfect with a pair of boots!
Thank you!! I think it’s my favorite between the two. I don’t own a pair of casual boots that would be just right, so I think I have an excuse to do maybe just a little more shopping!
Maybe I should go check it out. I’ve been trying to save money for awhile by just wearing plain (men’s) tshirts and jeans… and I’m not really a girly girl, but I don’t have ANYTHING really that feminine looking! No dress clothes or church clothes.
So thanks for letting me know about this sale! I really like the blue dress! And Piper is adorable
Thanks Sarah!! I think with this sale you could snag up a few things for even just a few bucks.
Happy shopping!
Love the blue dress on you… very nice. Piper is a cutie… she look great in her outfit too!!
We adopted some ducks this weekend and I needed some rain boots so I would actually go outside in the PNW and do my morning farm chores. I scored some cute Western Chiefs for $15! Oddly, I tried on some 8s at another store and they fit, but the one pair of 8s at FM did not fit, the 9s fit and they’re a fun pattern. I mention that because I saved myself the heartache of ordering online only to find something that doesn’t fit.
I can’t belive I’ve lived here for 10 years and this is my first pair of “wellies”.
Oh Angela, I LOVE that blue dress!
I bought a super adorable summer dress at FM in Oct or Nov on super-clearance like this. It too was something like $50-60 normally and I got it for $12. I couldn’t pass it up!
Awesome! I don’t think enough people talk about them or check out their sales!
I’m waiting for the 70% off sale. Hopefully this weekend!
They usually tend to do that for President’s Day.
