While at Albertsons today, I spotted the 32 oz Tresemme Shampoos and Conditioners at $4.99. Rifling through my coupon binder, I noticed that the buy one, get one free coupon from 1/27 Red Plum insert expires in two days (Sunday, 2/10).
I also noticed that there was a tag on the product: spend $15 or more, get a $5 Catalina. Now, I’m usually leary of these kind of promotions at Albertsons since they usually read that the amount is calculated after coupons, but I figured I had nothing to lose. Even if I ended up paying $4.99 for a shampoo and conditioner with the coupon, I’d be coming out pretty good at 50%.
Here’s what happened at checkout!
Bought (2) Tresemme Shampoos $4.99
Bought (2) Tresemme Conditioners $4.99
Used (2) B1G1 coupons from 1/27 Red Plum (limit 2 like coupons per trip)
Paid: $9.98 + tax at checkout
And then I received a $5 Catalina!
After Catalina, that’s like getting these for $1.25 each. Not too shabby considering these are the larger bottles. I don’t wash my hair every day, so this amount could easily last me months.
I wanted to share this deal with you in case you’d been holding onto those coupons and were looking for a good last opportunity to use them. Your results may vary on the Catalina coupon. I’d love to know if it works for you or not.
If you are planning a trip out, please see what else is on sale this week at Albertsons.

Such an excellent deal! I hope to do this (or at least similar) tomorrow. Thank you!
When I did this deal I purchased two 32 oz bottles and two 39 oz bottles. The 39 oz bottles were apparently mis-shelved and ran up at $5.79. Since the sale and subsequent catalina was for those priced at $4.99, my catalina didn’t print. When I went back to check the shelf price with a customer service rep, we realized there was no shelf space labeled for the 39 oz bottles. I asked if I could return the 39 oz bottles and purchase the 32 oz bottles so the catalina would trigger. The customer service rep asked if I was willing to keep the 39 oz bottles at $5.79 and she would print the catalina at the register. I was fine with that resolution. I used two B1G1 free coupons so I paid $10.78+ tax for four bottles and have a $5 catalina to spend later.
Sounds like you got an even better deal!
