I’ve been talking about Main & Vine for the better part of a year here at the blog, and I have to say – I truly do love this store. I thought I’d share my top 5 things I love about shopping here!
#1: Overall Shopping Experience
I find shopping at Main & Vine to be enjoyable and even relaxing! The store has a very open layout and isn’t too large. The aisles are wide. The lighting is pleasant. You can grab a coffee or beer and hang out awhile. I don’t feel rushed or crowded.
#2: The Local Eats
In virtually every department in the store, you’re bound to find something that’s produced locally! Whether it’s bourbon from Heritage Distillery in Gig Harbor or frozen berries from Remlinger Farm in Carnation, you can feel good knowing you’re supporting locally-based companies.
#3: Bulk Foods
I’m always a fan of bulk foods because I find it’s one of the easiest ways to save money. You buy what you need and your ingredients stay fresher! Main & Vine also is the only store I’ve ever seen where you can weigh and print your own bulk foods labels. This way, there’s no surprises at checkout.
I also want to point out that Main & Vine has frozen bulk foods, too. Yesterday, we found steak fajitas and shrimp tikka masala, to give a couple examples. You scoop what you need and store it in your freezer. Then, just heat in your skillet for 8-10 minute and voila! You’ve got a fantastic main course or side dish. This is another feature I’ve never found at any other grocery store.
#4: The Gig Harbor Kitchen
When you first walk into the store, you’ll find a number of quick-service counters and freshly prepared foods to the right. This is known as the Gig Harbor Kitchen, and it’s pretty awesome! They serve wood-fired pizza, fresh dumplings, soups, yakisoba, sushi, made-to-order sandwiches and salads and much more.
We often like to come around lunchtime and grab a slice of pizza to eat before we shop. (Tip: shop on Thursdays, when the pizza slices are 2 or $6!)
#5: The Deals!
I know you’re probably thinking, “wow, that sure sounds like a pretty fancy, upscale store, Angela. I don’t know that I’ll be able to find any deals there.” And, you’d be wrong.
I have found some pretty stellar deals at Main & Vine including: whole pineapples for $0.99, FREE eggs (this one’s still available!), Simple Truth body wash for $1.99 (reg. $7.99), and much more. To find these deals, I recommend two things: 1) follow my blog – I highlight the new ad deals every Wednesday (or when the new ad is released) as well as any FLASH SALES and 2) download the app – this is where you’ll find special offers and sometimes, freebies.

Edited to add: the giveaway has now closed and the winner is… Melinda S.! She writes:
My daughter and I take her two and four-year-old boys to Main and Vine regularly for lunch. The boys love the Sushi and I love the soup selection. My daughter likes the salad bowl because she can pick out what goes into it. It’s made fresh while you watch. The kids enjoy picking a free fruit from the bin, which is dessert after their lunch. We were there for the grand opening and we were there for the first birthday celebration. The produce selection is also a draw for us…always fresh.
Main & Vine has graciously provided me with a $50 Gift Card to giveaway to a lucky Coupon Project reader! This would be the perfect opportunity to check out Main & Vine if you’ve not done so already – or stock up on your favorite items if you already frequent the store.
