Have you checked out the awesome Stock up Sale that’s happening at Albertsons this week? There are low prices across the store – and best of all, no club card required! I thought I’d pop in to my local Milton store to see what else I might find.
I found a number of items down the hair care aisle for really good prices! Combs for $1, fancy hair barrettes for about $1.99, and a 6-pack of headbands for $2.49 (which I picked up for my daughter!). If you look at the regular prices, you’ll see that many of these are at least 50% off.
As part of this week’s stock up sale, you’ll find a number of different pre-marinated meats on sale for buy one, get one free. This package of chicken quarters (1 lb) is $2.40, so if you purchased a comparable size, it’d be like getting them for $1.20 apiece! I definitely consider that a deal and it’s also a time saver since it’s already prepped. I did stock my freezer up with some of these a couple weeks ago and can tell you they are quite tasty! If chicken’s not your thing? They also have pre-marinated steak and pork this week for buy one, get one free.
Can I just highlight how awesome of a deal this is? It’s really hard to beat $1.79/lb for fresh boneless, skinless chicken breasts!
Here’s a fantastic deal I spotted in the Big Book of Savings: through 11/5 La Victoria and Carlita Tortillas are buy one, get one free! Even better if you have a $1/1 La Victoria Tortillas coupon from the 8/18 SmartSource = you’d end up paying just $0.60 each per package! While the tortillas are buy one, get one free through November 5th, that coupon does expire on October 13th, so you’ll want to hurry on over to the store if you want to take advantage of that deal.
Have you seen this Big Book of Savings coupon booklet in the front of your store? It’s worth picking up and the coupons and sales you’ll find inside are good clear through 11/5. Here are a couple deals I spotted today with the coupons:
Essential Everyday Olive Oil, 17 is on sale for $5.99. But the store coupon from the Big Book of Savings will save you $2 off (limit 2). That drops the price to $3.99 or 42% off the regular price. I did put one of these in my cart.
Here are a couple options for the $1 off 2 Essential Everyday Jam or Jelly coupon in the Big Book of Savings. The grape jelly is on sale for $1.99 (through 1/7/14). Buy (2) and use the coupon and you’ll pay $1.49 each. Use the coupon on the apple jelly priced at $2.50 (also through 1/7/14) and the price drops to $2 each.
Of course, I’m always a sucker for a big clearance display! My Milton store usually has its clearance kept in carts down the freezer aisle. Today I found men’s pajamas, kitchen gadgets… but then the last cart really caught my eye…
Wine on clearance AND a rebate offer? Yes please! This Blackstone Red wine was on clearance for $3.74. But I found a hangtag on one of the bottles. If you bought one bottle, you could submit for a $1.50 rebate, two bottles for a $3 rebate…and so on up to 12 bottles for a $24 rebate. I opted for 2 bottles, so I paid $7.48, but will be receiving a $3 rebate back. That’s like getting both bottles for $4.48 or $2.24 each! Score!
If you’ve not checked out Albertsons lately, you really need to. Even if you used to shop there and haven’t in awhile. Take a second look at their ads. They are working hard to drop prices on everyday groceries throughout the store. I also feel that their ads are less cluttered and less complicated to follow. Make sure to check out this week’s ad and stock up sale – there are great prices on milk, meat, grapes, and more.
I’d love to hear your candid thoughts on Albertsons. Do you like the new direction they’ve taken? Are you shopping there this week?
