Best Turkey Prices, Coupons & Deals
Once again, I’m going to do my best to round-up the best turkey prices at grocery stores I’m finding. I noticed a few offers have started to pop up this week, but I expect more to follow in the next week or so. Please note that in many cases, I’ve left notes and comments from 2013 sales as guidance (so pay careful attention to dates).
I also addressed the question “what’s a good price for a turkey?” which you might find helpful to read when considering these deals!

Fred Meyer Turkey Price
Through Saturday (11/22), Fred Meyer is running the following coupon deal:
Get a FREE Kroger or Honeysuckle Frozen Turkey when you spend $150 or more
or $0.49/lb when you spend $100 or more
or $0.69/lb when you spend $50 or more
You can get the coupon in last Sunday’s newspaper or at your store at customer service.
You might prefer Fred Meyer’s Deluxe Holiday Turkey Dinner. For $69.99, get a 10-13 Private Selection Fully Cooked Oven-Roasted Turkey (select varieties), plus stuffing, potatoes, green bean casserole, gravy, cranberry sauce, rolls and a pie. This meal serves up to 6 and if you order before November 19, you’ll save $5.
If I were to make a guess, we’ll see frozen turkeys hit the ads this Sunday (November 16). In years past, Fred Meyer has offered up to a free turkey with purchase. This is worth watching if you tend to do the bulk of your grocery shopping at Fred Meyer anyways.
2013 Pricing: Free turkey with $150 + purchase OR $0.49/lb with $100+ purchase OR $0.69/lb with $50+ purchase and in-ad coupon. $150 purchase has some exclusions, for instance alcohol and gift cards – the standards.
QFC Turkey Price
This week, QFC has an advertised special of turkeys for $0.69/lb with a $30 additional purchase (limit 1). This is exactly my target per-pound price for 2014, and the low additional purchase threshhold makes it a particularly attractive offer. This pricing is also good clear through Thanksgiving Day!
QFC is advertising an identical deal to Fred Meyer this week (probably due to the fact that they are sister stores – under Kroger).
