My friend Kellie was recently selected to host her first ever House Party! It was for Gerber.
I was so excited for her, and excited for the opportunity to see first hand what these parties are all about.
What is a House Party?
In case you’ve never heard about these, anyone can apply to become a House Party host. You simply browse the parties available at a given time and apply. If you’re chosen, you’ll be given everything you need to run your party. Kellie was given lots of Gerber items to give away, and some extras for her to keep for hosting. You can read more how this works over at House Party’s site.
Kellie’s Gerber Party
Kellie is a perfect hostess! She had her home beautifully decorated for Christmas and made some tasty treats for us to nibble on.
We each got to take home one of these cute insulated Gerber totes. They were full of Gerber snacks and coupons!
Gerber also gave us some games to play, including a Jeopardy-style game about baby and young child nutrition. As much as I like Gerber and was grateful for their generosity, the game was complete cheese. Regardless, us ladies had so much fun enjoying a girls’ night together. There was much laughter.
What’s the Catch?
There is none. We were not pressured to buy anything, pledge to become Gerber ambassadors, or anything of the sort. If you get invited to a House Party, know that the purpose is to simply expose you to a particular brand and have an informal get together in the process.
How Can I Learn More?
You might be interested to read a post I wrote back in June called What’s a House Party?.
You can also create a free House Party account and apply for their current parties, which include:
- Zatarain’s
- Freschetta
- Artisan Ovens Flatbread
- TruMoo
As a final word, from what I’ve heard it may take several times applying before you get selected. Don’t give up!
If you’ve hosted or attended a House Party, I’d love to have you share your thoughts with us today!
Thanks, Kellie, for your hospitality and permission to share your photos!
