Top Food

There is a great new coupon available for Silk Soy Milk. To get it, you’ll need to create an account (or log onto an existing one), and complete a short survey. Then you’ll be able to print it out. I’m not a fan of soy, but Silk does make PureCoconut and PureAlmond milks I enjoy. (In fact, I’m sipping my coffee with the PureAlmond in it right now!).

Grays Harbor Deals is reporting the following sale at Top Food & Drug:

Silk Soy Milk or PureAlmond Milk $2.99
$1.50/1 printable coupon
Bottom line: $1.49

I usually pick these varieties up at Fred Meyer, where they are often on sale, too.

Thanks, Grays Harbor Deals!

Yeah! Another timely deal for my Going Vegan on a Budget challenge! This week at Top Food & Drug you can score a great deal on S&W Recipe Collection Beans!

S&W Recipe Collection Beans $0.75
Use the $1/2 in-ad manufacturer coupon
OR $1/2 coupon from 2/12 SmartSource
Bottom line: $0.25 each!

Because Top Food & Drug prices may be regional, I encourage you to visit their weekly flyer online to make sure this is happening at your store. I can verify it is happening at Federal Way. It’s on page 2.

Thanks, Queen Bee Coupons!

I decided to hit up Rite Aid and Top Foods yesterday. Here’s what I snagged (click for a larger image):

Rite Aid:

ThermaCare $3.99
Lysol Kitchen Cleaners 2 for $4
Lysol Toilet Bowl Cleaners 2 for $4
Lysol All Purpose Cleaners 2 for $4
Keri Lotion $6.99
BodiHeat $1
Subtotal: $27.05 (including tax)

Coupons I used:
ThermaCare $3.99 in-ad coupon
$1/2 Lysol Kitchen coupon from 3/6 SmartSource
$1/2 Lysol Toilet bowl coupon from 3/6 SmartSource
$1/2 Lysol All Purpose coupon from 3/6 SmartSource
$2/1 Keri coupon from 1/9 SmartSource
$0.50/1 BodiHeat peelie coupon
$2 in UP Rewards from previous transactions
Paid: $14.72

Submited for $9 in Rite Aid rebates

Bottom line: $5.72 (85% savings from shelf cost)

At Rite Aid yesterday, I had an impromptu shopping trip with my pal Abby from Steals Plus Deals. She found the unadvertised BodiHeat deal - they were just $1 each and had a $0.50/1 peelie on them making them just $0.50 each!

Top Food & Drug:

5 boxes of Honey Nut Cheerios $2 each
Ore Ida Sweet Potato Fries 2 at $2.99 each
Frozen Bagged Vegetables 3 at $0.99 each
Old Orchard Juice 12 at $0.49 each
Eggo Waffles 3 at $1.99 each
Subtotal: $37.80

Discounts/coupons I used:
Saved $5 instantly for buying 5 cereal
Saved $10 instantly for buying 20 frozen items*
Used (2) $1/1 Ore Ida coupons from Safeway Coupon Booklet
Used (2) $1/4 Old Orchard printable coupons
Used (2) $1/2 Cheerio manufacturer coupons
Used (1) $2/3 Eggo coupon from Safeway Coupon Booklet
Bottom line: $14.80

My receipt said I saved $54.35 (sales, promotions, and coupons), which is a savings rate of 79%!

I couldn’t recall the last time I’d shopped at Top Foods, and I sure don’t think I’d ever headed there with coupons. The cashier I got was very friendly and even wondered where I got one of my coupons. I ended up giving her an extra one I had! I love it when I have experiences like these.

Ready for my final tally?

I should have paid $106.24 for everything pictured above, but after sales, coupons, promotions, and rebates, I snagged the haul for $20.72 (81% off!). Seriously, does $106 not seem ridiculous to you? Aye…I can’t imagine paying that.

If you want to get in on some of these deals, the Top Food sale runs through Tuesday and Rite Aid runs through Saturday. Also, a delightful surprise on the frozen food sale at Top Foods – the sign at my store read “save $5 when you buy ANY 10 frozen food items.” So, I think you would save the $5 no matter which 10 items you bought.
