Dave & Buster’s is now open in Washington State (Auburn, to be exact)! Last week my kiddos had spring break, and I (Nina) am some what of a planner, so we planned out our week. Wednesday would be Dave & Buster’s day. Now we have never been to any Dave & Buster’s before, but have heard good things and wanted to pay a visit.
Upon our arrival we walk in the door and there are so many lights, things flashing, lots of noise; however, it’s not too busy (it was Wednesday at 11am). We approach a counter where you purchase cards that have chips on them. We decided to purchase the $50 card (300 chips) and we supercharged it an extra $6 for 75 extra chips. After we had finished paying, the young gal at the counter told us “oh its Wednesday all games are half price!” We sure came on the right day!
They had so many games to choose from! They had games from Air Hockey, Spinning games, Games you dance on, Claw machines, to mini bowling – something for everyone! There were 5 of us and we played for about an hour and half and were able to share the same card as well. The games ranged from 2 chips to 9 chips (with most being 4 chips). But of course, we visited on half price game day!
Next, we went to check out the prizes my kiddos were all splitting their tickets. However, you don’t get actual tickets they all go on your card as well, so make sure and hold onto that card! Between all my kids, they earned 6,000 tickets that they had agreed to split evenly. The prize room is a room you walk in where you can view and touch all the prizes they have too! Then you pick what you want, go to the counter hand them your prizes and card they scan both items and that’s it – you’re done!
I loved how easy this process was. I felt they had a huge range or prizes and some for every ticket value.
And, say you didn’t want to get a prize, you can use your tickets for food in their restaurant or build them up and save them for a larger prize!
After playing games for 2 hours, it was time to eat! We go up to the counter to be seated for a table only to be told the wait was 45 minutes as it was the lunch rush. So we decided to eat elsewhere since we had already played and couldn’t wait another 45 minutes. Next time we will check in to be seated before we are done playing.
I would like to add while we were there I spoke to a manger to ask about any special deals they offered, he told me to download the app and register my power card (the card we had our coins on), and you would be given offers, he stated they usually have good offers. So I did just that. I was pleasantly surprised to find a great offer there once it was downloaded. I then applied the offer to my card and paid $20 for $40 worth of coins, that is now attached to my card and can be used whenever, we will definitely be going on a Wednesday again!
