Now that football season is in full swing, maybe you’re excited to have some friends over to watch the game! Or maybe even go to a game and do some tailgating. Here’s my husband and I at a UW game a couple weeks ago (go Huskies!).
This time of year, you’ll find all kinds of special displays and promotional items at your Fred Meyer store to help you celebrate football season. I thought I’d pop by my store to share some of what I found, as well as some of my favorite football game food ideas!
Now what would a fall football game be without a Crock-pot dish or two? Fred Meyer has an awesome selection right now.
I even found a Seahawks themed Crock-Pot!
Here’s an item that I buy very often at Fred Meyer: the Kroger sliced pepperoni! It’s great on homemade pizza, homemade mini calzones, or even just on top of Ritz crackers.
Speaking of Ritz crackers, check out this awesome Huskies display I found near Housewares! Of course, I had to take a look…
Have you all discovered this stuff yet? It’s my new favorite beverage and the price is right – just $2.49 right now for 8 cans. It’s a fun, 0-calorie alternative to soda and would be nice to have on hand for your parties!
Of course, if you’d prefer something a bit more adult-y, can I recommend some of the hard sodas that are popular right now? I’ve tried several of the ones pictured above, and I really like the Coney Island and Not your Father’s Root Beer. I’ve not tried the Cherry or Orange Sodas, but those are standing out to me, too!
These little sweet peppers are another great option for your party. Can I recommend one of my all-time favorite appetizers you can make with them? Jalapeno Poppers!
I love these mini gloves in Seahawks colors for just $1.49! Even better, there is a 15% off Apparel & Accessories coupon in this week’s ad that would save you a bit extra.
The next time you’re planning to host the crew for a football game, head to Fred Meyer! Make sure to check out fredmeyer.com/weeklyad for the current deals.
Now it’s your turn: I’d love to know what your favorite dishes, appetizers, or beverages are to have on hand for football season? Please leave a comment below!
