Now with Amazon Prime: free, unlimited video streaming

Do you have an Amazon Prime membership?

If so, you might be pleased to learn that they announced that unlimited free streaming of TV shows and movies will now be included with Prime membership! This means you can choose from over 5,000 TV shows and movies to watch instantly from your PC, Mac, or Internet connected TV’s, BluRay players, or set top boxes.

Please note that this only seems to apply if you have paid for an Amazon Prime membership. Amazon Prime is currently $79/year and entitles you to unlimited, free 2-day shipping on most items as well as the free streaming. You can try it for a month for free.

While you can get three months of free Amazon Prime through Amazon Mom or one-year Amazon Prime through Amazon Student, you won’t be able to access the free streaming.

Thanks, Because More is More!

Just a note – I spent a while looking at the titles that will be free and most of them are already free on Hulu or even on Amazon – so while it is great for those who are already paying for it, joining just to get the movies really doesn’t pay until they offer a better selection of current releases (they’re only giving 1 or 2 of those) which are NOT free even if you join.
